Excellent Sound Quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These Sony cans live up to their extra-bass name. The bass is tight and hits hard. In fact, it can sometimes get overwhelming after extended listening sessions. No complaints here. I'd always prefer too much bass over too little. You can always subtract bass but can't add it if it just vcd isn't there. The highs and mids are pretty clear as well. I've heard instruments and melodies in music that I didn't hear well with the headphones these replaced. Setup was easy. I downloaded the Sony headphones connect app and it took all of under a minute to pair these with my phone. There was a firmware update immediately available to enable Alexa integration. The headphones update through the app. Battery life is very good. I listen for several hours a day and only have to recharge once a week. Even then, the battery doesn’t fully exhaust between recharges. The charger is USB-C, so no worries about incorrectly inserting the charging cable. Comfort is pretty good. The pads and headband are soft and comfy. The cups can get a little warm after extended listening but never intolerably so. Overall, a decent set of wireless cans that can hang with most moderately priced headphones out there. I just wish they were a tad louder but it’s probably for the best if I want to still have my hearing in a couple decades.
