Mine unfortunately only lasted about a year before dying though, which is rather pathetic. I took decent care of them and never had an issue but they just stopped working one day. If you can get these headphones at a discount they are pretty decent but I wouldn't pay over $150 for them.

One of the possible solutions to the issue is by updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. The software update improves the general performance of the unit and includes key features, applications, and bug fixes. Please visit the link below for instructions.

Resetting and initializing the headphones may help with the troubleshooting.
To reset, press both the POWER button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously while charging. The headset will be reset. If the issue still occurs, after resetting please initialize the headphones.

Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the POWER button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized. This operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information. In this case, delete the pairing information for the headset from the device and then pair them again.

The quality is better made than the Beats and they last long. Beats tend to deteriorate fast unlike these. If you are interested in buying a pair of headphones these are a great pair or any of the Sony headphone at that. P.S. especially if you can get them at a good price and on sale you are getting a great deal and good quality product!!!

For a basshead it's ok

The difference is that it's more clear bass. The skullcandies can be a little too muddy at times. I bought a second pair of headphones because I noticed the skullcandies miss certain bass lines because it's haptic feedback not real bass. These will do Until I find some better head bangers

After less than 1 year, already broken.

Where the ear piece connects to the center piece, it split down the middle. This makes it so when i fully extend them to fit on my head, the long piece of the headphone that goes into the center piece busts out, poking my skull. Its not comfy at all. I tried duct tape but to no avail. Bad Quality for the price. Would not recommend. Also Best Buy shipping made me wait an extra 2 weeks all day every day just to tell me at 9PM every night that an "emergency or severe weather condition" has delayed my delivery, FOR TWO WEEKS!
