With the Sony music app (which is absolutely excellent) you can control EQ or use different surround profiles from concert hall, arena and others. This gives you the ability to dial in the perfect sound for your preferences. Personally I find the sound quality excellent and definitely not lacking when I want bass. The noise canceling Is about a 3.5 to 4 out of 5 to me, when it comes to canceling out audio from a tv or voices it’s not as good as the best in class. But, this is to be expected as these are mid tier Noise-Cancelling headphones. I have a ceiling fan that makes noise when it’s on and they’re able to cancel that out, also the noise from an annoying garage fridge when I’m sitting next to it. That type of noise seems to be what they’re best at canceling out at least from my usage. You control the noise canceling within the app. The call quality is top notch, whether you’re using them to talk or talking to someone wearing them. While on a call and having my tv on the caller could not hear my tv though I could. I didn’t think I’d like the touch controls, but Sony has done an excellent job with them. They give you a nice beep to let you know you’ve done something, like volume up or down etc.. Sony has brought a solid set of noise canceling headphones to the market to sit below the the award winning 1000MX3. The XB900N have big bass, excellent call quality on both ends, USB-C and 30 hour battery life.

I'm new to this headphone TV watching thing so maybe it's just me. I'm sure if they were used for listening to just music they would be fine but...

These cut down on noise but I found that it’s not 100% eliminated. I could still hear light airplane noise an the guy at work still is irritating just not as much haha.

It stays connected to my macbook even when the lid is closed and the battery drains. No way to stop that in the app. No way to disconnect from the macbook unless you open the macbook and disconnect. Inconvenient compared to cheaper headset s I have had in the past

Unfortunately, the headset does not support multipoint connection. However, the WH-1000XM4 does. You can connect to 2 devices simultaneously. Please refer to this link for more information on multipoint connection compatibility:

For Bluetooth connectivity issue, resetting and initializing may help solve the issue.
To reset, press both the POWER button and the NC/AMB (noise-cancelling/Ambient Sound Mode) button simultaneously while charging. The headset will be reset. If the issue still occurs, after resetting please initialize the headphones.
Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the POWER button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized. This operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information. In this case, delete the pairing information for the headset from the device and then pair them again.

Great headset

These do not echo when on the phone like the bose do. I would not buy an over the ear bose anymore, i would buy this one.

great earphones but need improvement

It is very touchy and sometimes when I am trying to raise or lower the volume, it changes music instead. This function could be improved quite a bit.

The beats were very quiet and had no bass at all. Sony is definitely a winner when it comes to headphones.

Nice Light Headphones

They are easy to setup and pair with a Bluetooth phone/computer. Didn't have any problems pairing and using. The touch controls on the headphones make it easy to switch songs, or hear someone talking to you. The sound of the headphones is good, the bass is punchy without losing the rest of the music/game/voice you are listening too. The noise cancelling works fairly well, esp. when you are playing music to quite the soundstage to just the music that people have to work at times to get your attention. If you want a lightweight comfortable, but good set of headphones that have great battery life and awesome sound with the ability to bass it up as my daughter tells me this is definitely the pair for you.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got the headphones right before a 3-week journey around the world. Opening the package was simple and effective s it was very easy to slide out and get what you needed to get going. They included a 3.5mm cord for those devices that you need more so than the Bluetooth function. I downloaded the Sony app to connect to my iPhone, took about 5-10 seconds to connect but was seamless then you could make expand your usage even with the added functions and capabilities. Review: I used these headphones on over 15 flights around the world and 5 days a week in the gym. They held a full charge for about 2-3 days of full usage. The noise cancelling is perfection, on the Airplane the world just went silent and was able to hear my movies and music with extreme clarity. In the gym, I didn’t hear anything except my music as I would push through hour long workouts. Now they don’t breathe great, I did have to pop off and wipe off the sweat, but they were comfortable for wearing around 5-8 hrs. on a flight they just felt apart of me never feeling too heavy. Performance: This is where they excel as they provided clarity, bass and high-quality ranges for sounds. All genres of music and movies sounded excellent! Action movies made you feel like you were in the action, and the music felt like you were front row at a concert! Durability: I dropped these getting off an airplane in Spain and didn’t crack or break, they were extremely durable and just slid them into the included pouch. So, they are tested and durable for lots of travel! Overall these are the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of using and will continue to be my daily travel and gym headphones for a long time coming!
