Lightweight noise cancelling headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There are so many options for headphones,and they all seem to offer more features than ever, but I have to say I recommend these for several reasons. They pair quickly, using the NFC technology, if your phone supports it, but almost as quickly without it. These are sleek, but feel well constructed, like they will hold up for a long time. They are very lightweight, with plenty of cushioning on the band and ear cups. The left has the power button, and a custom button that's for ambient control, but can be used for either Google Assistant or Alexa. Downloading the app (there's always an app) allows this to be activated, but has options for adjusting sound. Given that these are named XB, extra bass, that's an attractive feature for many users. But I actually preferred getting to adjust the sound based on what I'm listening to, and changing easily in the app when I listen to something else. Audiobooks sound even better with these, and music sounds great too. Noise cancellation is what a lot of users will expect, and these do not disappoint. With the touch of a button, ambient sound can be reintroduced, or other adjustments to sound quality. These even make some adjustments on their own, also viewable in the app. These are comfortable and foldable for storage in the soft bag that comes with these headphones, along with the USB C charging cable and headphone cable. They have very long battery life, and lasted me for days without recharging. There's a built-in microphone for calls or talking to Alexa or Google, and touch controls on the right ear cup. Since it was my first time using this, it took a minute to get used to it, but I really liked having this feature, literally at my fingertips. If you're wanting great headphones with noise cancellation for under $300, give these a try.

First off, she loves how easy it was to sync to her devices. You just need to download their app and it was very easy for her to sync the headphones to her devices and she isn't very good with technology. Her next comment was how soft the headphones were on her ears. It did take charging them 5 hours before they were fully charged and ready to go, but she has used them for the last week which was roughly 20 hours of use and she has yet to recharge them. She loves to watch movies and shows on her I pad and she just couldn't get over the sound quality. She really enjoyed the Extra Bass feature which really enhanced her movie watching experience. She hasn't really used the digital noise cancellation, but she did use it on our recent road trip and she said it did and excellent job of cancelling all of the noise from the road. She couldn't find anything negative to say about these headphones. She and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good quality headphones that produce high quality sound and offer the noise cancellation capability.

Doesn’t really cancel or mask outside noise

The noise-cancellation, ambient sound, etc. isn’t so great. Maybe it’s better if you’re on a plane, but it doesn’t work so well for higher, more treble-y household sound. I wish I had the non-noise cancellling Bose headphones I sold to make room for these back. The only really cool thing about these is being able to control volume, pause, etc. by just moving your finger around one of the cups. That feature is hardly worth the full price though.
