The headphones can be paired with multiple devices, but can only play music from 1 paired device at a time. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the noise cancellation of this unit. You can change the settings of the noise canceling function and the Ambient Sound Mode with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. To ensure optimal performance with noise canceling, make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on and adjust the earpad position to fit your ears. The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.

Why are they not written in a very long, explanation. The cord is too short and will not work on a Android phone. Only the blue tooth works. I don't understand all the terms on the buttons. Why doesn't the cord fit and work. Disappointed. The drawing doesn't help. So far I haven't enjoyed these headphones.

That being said, the price is right. I'm using these for my office headphones and they do exactly what I need them to do. My only wish would be for the aux cord to be a bit longer. When working at a desktop and plugging them in to save battery, it's a bit of a hassle.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Up front and immediately, the enhanced bass is surprisingly rich and clean and strong. It's clearly Sony's big sales pitch for these headphones, along with a crazy-strong battery life - and I think they deliver impressively on both of these fronts. Worth noting: Sony suggests that the battery on these headphones will last 30 HOURS on a single charge (with certain caveats like not engaging the digital noise cancellation), but a full charge from 0% takes a whopping 7 hours (though there is a quick-charge mode for shorter extensions of play time). These are welcome additions to Sony's new hat in the digital noise cancellation headphone ring. The other welcome addition is a right earpiece that acts like a touchpad - so aside from an on/off button and a second button that toggles through modes of noise cancellation, all other navigations (start/stop, volume up/down, track up/back, etc.) are controlled with easy-to-remember finger patterns on the outside of the earpiece. This is a game-changer - who has the patience to learn the locations and Morse codes needed to operate headphones with three or four or five buttons. And although the enhanced bass is a welcome addition here and the sound is quite clear, I was not completely happy with the equalization of sound overall - and it didn't sound simply as if the bass had been overextended, it just sounded a little unbalanced in the mid-range and upper-range. Some types of music sounded better - many people will be completely satisfied with the reproduction of current top-forty hits that (I think) are over-equalized in the mid- and upper-ranges. Using the Sony headphone app gives you more control over the sound but I thought that many of their pre-packaged equalization options degraded the sound (and the app design itself was annoying). I don't think these are the strongest digital noise cancelling headphones on the market right now - both from the point of view of the actual digital noise cancellation implementation and from the point of view of sound production. But they do have a WOW factor in their bass response and I love the way Sony implemented their functionality. Definitely give these a listen with your specific music before you decide - they sound amazing with certain types of music (but I don't think they're the best choice over a variety of types of music - or for music more than (say) 20 years old?).
