I will have to update this review after owned them for 12 months. My Skullcandy Crushers broke once in 6 months the second pair 9 months and the THIRD time 11 months. Once Sony makes it past 12 months i will update. If my headphones arent on my head they are on my coffee table

Good for sound

Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
Adjust the earpad position to fit your ears.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.

Kept cutting out, wouldn't stay on

We had problems with it staying connected to music/blue tooth. Took it back to ask what we were doing wrong, another associate said it was defective, ordered us a new one. New one also cut out and wouldn't stay connected. Appt with Geek Squad, Associate kept going to back room to read manual! Told us if it didn't work when we got it home, we were to turn off all TV's, microwave, and other devises-seemed like ridiculous advice, so returned it. We were equally disappointed with Sony head set and Geek Squad help.

We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your unit. We value your input and appreciate the feedback. If you hear the voice guidance say, “Low battery, please recharge headset”, your headphones may not be charging properly. Also, when the battery becomes completely empty, the headset sounds a warning beep, the voice guidance says, “Please recharge headset. Power off”, and the headset automatically turns off.
- Connect the headset and an AC outlet. Use the supplied USB Type-C cable and a commercially available USB AC adaptor to connect the headset to an AC outlet. Not Enough Volume

Once I got my TV bluetooth connection and paired the headphones to my TV, the sound won't go high enough on the headphones for me to hear. I am now back to watching my shows with the volume way up and it bothers my wife in the next room.

We are not sure what brand/model of TV you have these headphones connected to. However, you may try following the troubleshooting steps below and see if it resolves the problem:
• Depending on the connected device, the volume may not sync with the headphones. If this is the case, you may not get the desired volume by adjusting the headphones volume. Try using a combination of the headphone volume and the volume of the connected device.
• Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again.

Awesome headphones! Extremely comfortable

I had purchased the $350 pair but I felt like the price was just way too steep especially when they lacked Bass. These have great bass and the sound is very clear. Of course the $350 pair sound better but I bought these mainly because of the price and the Bass boost. I have no regrets. They sound awesome and I highly recommend them. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of the case it comes with. I still feel $200 is a lot of money especially since these go for $250 I believe they deserve a better case. Comfort wise they are the best.

Falling apart before the first year

Get a best warrenty on these or save an extra 100 for the next version or even pick up the 700 series, which lasted way longer than these. Not worth the price for this quality.

We appreciate your feedback with the WH-XB900N. We regret to hear the sound issues that you are experiencing on one side of the headphones. We'd like to help troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience. Please perform reset on the headphones by pressing both the power button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously while charging. The headset will be reset. The device registration (pairing) information is not deleted.
If the headset does not operate correctly even after resetting, initialize the headset to restore factory settings. Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator blue flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized. This operation resets volume settings, etc., and deletes all pairing information. In this case, delete the pairing information for the headset from the device and then pair them again.

Boomin System!

With an expectation of 4-5 hours to charge, the headphones surprising finished charging in about 2 hours. While waiting for the headphones to charge, I downloaded the app to be prepared for use. The app has a simple setup and there were no issues. I paired the headphones with my phone with no issues. This is my first set of noise-cancelling headphones, so my comparison is to the earbuds I normally use everyday at work and when I workout. My initial response is how clean the sound of music appears. Each song I listened to sounded better. I also liked how soft the cups are on my ears and my ears didn't get hot. This was one of the many reasons I normally use earbuds instead of headphones. What impressed me about these headphones is the ability to not only start/stop by tapping the right sound cup, but to change songs just by swiping on the right cup as well. Sony, PLEASE KEEP THIS FEATURE FOR ALL FUTURE HEADPHONES. I really haven't been in areas with plenty of background noise to interfere with the sound quality, but I'm going to go with my gut that these headphones can handle the noise. As of today, I still have not had to recharge the headphones. I have to recharge my earbuds every night. My only nitpick...every though I haven't had to recharge the headphones yet, I wish the charging cable was a little bit longer. From a electrical plug, the headphones would dangle off the counter or window sill, so I had to charge them from my laptop. Maybe it's time for me to ditch my earbuds.
