I loved the extra Bass MDR-XB950B1 and this is enhanced version of that with noise canceling feature.. Minimal Design, Maximum Sound

Having the volume and skip track function built into one of the sides where you just swipe the outside up, down or left and right is a cool feature. When in practice though I have occasionally skipped a song when I was trying to turn up the volume however. I like that these headphones are pretty small for over the ear headphones, and the design is pretty simple and not flashing "SONY! SONY! SONY!" like other brands do with their designs. Overall this is a pretty good headset for the price.

Lots of sound everywhere and volume to spare. Not sure about those who had breakage problems. No headphones are bullet proof and I wonder what they did with them!?!?!?!? I play the guitar and many times I play at night and don't want to wake them. M Adio-technicas had no bass. As I said, the have plenty of sound everywhere.

Major battery problems

When you can get them to charge you get a good 20-30 hours out of them but good luck charging them. Most of the negative reviews are because of the battery. It is such a hassle to get them to charge everytime. You plug them in and the charging light either flashes and shuts off or doesnt turn on at all. I get them to charge after many many attempts but its very frustrating. If it wasnt for that id give them 5 stars and an excellent review.

love them, but only buy them on sale

Full price just buy the model a head of it for like $50-100 more. But was easy to connect, once music was playing couldn't hear anything around me, with no music playing it made the noise around me muffled, made reading in public easier. controls are easy to use. clients said i sound fine over them. Also download the app, you can turn down the bass if you don't like your music with alot of it

Expensive Junk

GREAT customer service even. Had the Sony MDR's with bass boost before these, calling these bass boost is a joke as it only works if your tethered to your phone through bluetooth. On the MDR's you could press a button and get the boost. Connect them via bluetooth to your phone (the only way they work) and it CONSTANTLY beeps a chime in your ear, either to let you know its connected or just to drive you insane who knows. Wanna use these with your computer? Good luck, the bluetooth skips worse than a 2001 CD player on a jog. Well hey, they come with a neat hard-wire, should keep its EQ when hardwired just like the MDR's right? NOPE. While hardwired your EQ is completely gone, and oh boy, they sound AWFUL without Sony's precious app pushing them which of course, isn't available for your computer. No buttons, so youll swipe to turn up a good song and your finger will slide an inch to the right and switch songs instead, good god just bring the buttons back this is such a stupid waste all to look "futuristic" Cant believe i paid as much as i did for this cheap junk, they feel cheap and look even cheaper. I expected more from Sony but these are just so desperate to be "futuristic" with their useless cellphone only app and poor bluetooth that they COMPLETELY FAIL their function. Definitely returning these tomorrow, and definitely switching away from Sony because build quality with them has CLEARLY PLUMMETED. DO NOT BUY THESE.

Wasted time and money, awful user experience

I think my life was shortened by more value than what I spent on these. Won't charge, light turns on for a max of 2 minutes then goes off. Have tried multiple AC adapters all the way down to 2amps. Won't turn on, so I assume the battery isn't charged as indicated by the "red" charging light going off. Just purchased these to utilize the ANC so I could get some work done, and completely wasted an hour of my day and will have to waste more time returning.

For headset won't turn on or cannot be charged even if connecting the headset to a computer, if you haven't yet, please try following the steps below to isolate and fix the problem.
• Make sure the battery is fully charged.
• Check that the USB Type-C cable is firmly connected to the headset and the USB AC adaptor or computer.
• Make sure that the USB AC adaptor is firmly connected to the AC outlet.
• The issue could be with the charging cable. Try another USB Type-C cable.
• Try to charge the headset to the USB port of the computer.
• If possible, try plugging the USB cable into a different USB port in the computer.
• Make sure that the power for the computer is turned on.
• Verify that the computer is not in standby or hibernation mode. Charging will not be completed if the computer is set to these modes.
