I had been looking into buying the Sony XM3 headphones for quite sometime, but eventually gave up because I couldn't justify the price. However, these bad boys popped up one day and upon trying them out in the store I actually preferred them to the XM3's. With that said, these do have a stronger bass than the XM3's, but the sound and overall build of these headphones alone are nearly identical. These headphones are very comfortable and I love the touch features! My only complaint is I wish they came with a better carrying case.

Just bought them for myself.....excellent fit on head,very comfortable and great sound.....they tune out everyone....used them on plane,enjoyed the noise cancelation feature as well....excellent battery life....pickup on sale for around 130$......stoked

These are five star headphones if you get them at the $150 price they are frequently on sale for. They sound great and the Sony Headphones app lets you tweak the sound to your liking. Since these are "Xtra Bass" headphones, the default sound profile is very bass heavy, but to me the bass sounds deep and rich and doesn't blow out the other ranges. The noise cancellation is just ok, but that's to be expected outside of the top tier noise cancelling headphones. The headphones are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, but my ears do get pretty warm after a while. I expect this is common for over-the-ear styles. I had a similar experience when I tried Beats on-ear headphones.

I bought this when it was $199 and thought it was a great deal. At $149, you can't beat it. Love the sound quality, the overall comfort, the different functions available right on the headphone. Battery lasts forever! If you like a little extra bass, I think you'll love this headset.

These headphones are not only very comfortable and sound amazing but won’t break, the only thing you might have to replace after a long time is the leather ear parts which can start to peal off, but that has been since I take them to workout and heavy use. The replacement aren’t that expensive. I would recommend these over the rest if you want better bass and still want to keep that amazing Sony sound quality

Purchased for a trip to China. Noise cancellation, battery life, and comfort were all great for the 13+ hour flight. Sound quality was good. A little base heavy but you can adjust levels in the Sony app. I would def recommend.

These were my first high end headphones since having a pair of beats for over 3 years. The bass on these really blow my mind at certain times. It's really a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who considers themselves a bass head or is just looking for an extra kick or thump in their headphones. The app brings just another level of value to these, and I love going between the mellow EQ setting when I'm just chilling and my own custom excited bass setting when I'm wildin' out. Playing with the EQ setting is going to get you the perfect sound that you're looking for; between that and the exceptional build quality and comfort, these are definitely worth every cent and I just love my pair.

I absolutely love these. Been looking to upgrade my current pair of headphones but didn't want to spend that big dollar amount. I know you get what you pay for but I was able to get these on sale for $200. I felt like I got top quality features and quality sound but sacrificed noise cancelation quality which is fine with me. Sound quality is priority for me. My only complaint is that I wish these headphones were just a little louder. MPO. Overall great headphones with great sound, easy to use, well built and a great app to fine tune everything. Oh, and also SO COMFORTABLE. I can't believe how soft the earpads are every time I touch them. I definitely recommend these especially if you can get them on sale

The Sony WH-XB900N headphones are a great buy, especially if you get them on sale. Comfortable to wear, good sound, good bass, clear sound, loud enough volume. Has good noise cancellation with little to no air pressure sensation, unlike other ANC capable headphones such as the Sennheiser HD 450BT that makes my ears fill with pressure. The Sony app for the headphones is very good. Adjust what you need by using the app. Make the headphones sound the way you want them sound. The app makes a big difference. The headphones fold and comes with a carrying bag. These are the best headphones I have ever owned, so I highly recommend them!

A very decent set of sturdy wireless headphones. Noise-cancelling isn't perfect, but I have never had noise-cancelling headphones before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Took me a few minutes to set up via Bluetooth with my computer. My main gripe is I can't get the pause or skip functions to work with Spotify. I don't know if they would with Pandora. The headphones themselves are extremely comfortable. Good range; I can listen from downstairs, but not quite the basement. The bass is indeed extra. The headphones also seem to be very solidly built; the ear pieces swivel to allow them to lie flat or be packed. Good brand.

I wanted good headphones with lots of bass. I listen to hard metal. They sound really good and the vocals are clear. The bass is really heavy but not too heavy. The buttons on the touch screen on the right side work pretty good if you touch them at the correct spot. Over all, with 30 hours every full charge you can’t go wrong with these. I haven’t heard the more expensive headphones but from what I understand These have heavier bass.

Great sound, comfortable, easy to use. Extra base is lovely and can be controlled. Lightweight so easy to take on a trip. Purchased for a good price on one of Best Buy’s great holiday sales.

I've always been a big supporter of Sony's audio products. Normally I stick with earbuds but this time I wanted something wireless yet comfortable. These Sony headphones have ticked every box I have. They sound great with excellent levels of bass and clarity. They are comfortable for extended listening sessions, and they don't feel like they are about to fall apart. The noise cancellation is always really good. The only real complaint I have is the Headphone companion app is a bit cumbersome, but I hardly ever need to use that now that I have the headphones set up to my liking. Would highly recommend these headphones.

Nice sound! I replaced a cheap brand (and much cheaper price--you get what you pay for!) whose head band had snapped...and I have no idea how or when! I have never had noise-cancelling headsets. Coupled with the clarity of sound and rich bass, these headsets provide an excellent listening experience for both music and videos. I did buy these on a great sale. I doubt I would have bought them at full price--not because they are not good enough, it's just that I'm generally a cheapskate! I'm glad I paid for these. I spend most of the day on headsets and they are also very comfortable!

I first saw these on android authority review. I was searching for a headphone that could deliver some good punchy bass and so far these have not been a disappointment in that department. The bass on these is heavy and punchy just the easy I like my music. The battery life is excellent I get the advertised 30hrs. The sony headphone connect app let you set the sound to your liking. They are comfortable and I can wear them the whole day without noticing that they are on my ears. As for the noise cancellation I can't comment because that's not the reason why I bought them. If you're looking for a good pair of headphones these will not disappoint.

Bought these to replace an older set of Sony headphones for the gym. I love the tighter fit and they don't slip while I am lifting. The sound quality is excellent and the bass is deep, but not too overpowering or distorting. The noise cancelling isn't the best, but for $123 (caught these on sale), I have no complaints. The battery life is outstanding and since I only use these in the gym, I have only charged these once. The quick will charge come in handy in a pinch. Overall, I would say they exceed my expectations.

These headphones sound good and are super comfortable. Lots of bass and a good app to customize the sound signature. I ended up returning them because I found them half the price elsewhere. I missed best buys sell by one day. I tried to price match Sony's website and the best buy employee told me that they don't price match manufacturer websites. I left and bought them from sony for half the price. Weird that they told me they don't price match the manufacturer because they have before, but whatever. I used to be extremely loyal to best buy but they have done shady stuff like this more often than I'd like so I have no problem buying stuff elsewhere now.

I’ve had these for about a month and they’re great! If you really want more bass you’ll definitely get it with these but you can customize the settings any way you want. The thing I love the most is the touch controls without having a bunch of physical buttons on the right earpiece. Just swipe for volume, changing songs, etc. And if you need to hear something outside or talk to someone, just put your hand over the right earpiece and the music and noise cancelling reduce automatically so you can! Pull your hand away and you’re back to your own bubble.

These headphones are amazing. I use them for music and calls. The noise cancelling works good. It doesn't completely cancel everything but is perfect for traveling and getting rid of the background noise. Music sounds superb. Use the equalizer on your music app to adjust it to your preference. I prefer more bass and this delivers. The gesture controls work great and it gives it a cleaner look. These are also comfortable enough to be worn for long periods of a time and not get uncomfortable.

These were actually purchased for my wife. They have excellent noise cancellation. My wife uses them for music, watching videos, even watching TV on her tablet. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day. They last a very long time on one charge. And, the fact that she can lower the music level by simply placing her hand on the earphone is an added bonus. I have several pairs of ANC headphones including BOSE Q35ii. These are pretty much on par. Great headphones at a great price.
