The foam is thicker than the 700 series and that gives more room for your ears, making this pair more comfortable (especially for 4 hour plane flights). Even when the noise cancelling is on, it was not better than my $30 pair of no name headphones I got years ago. The sound quality was good, but the volume could have been higher. For this price (I got on sale for $170) I would not recommend these headphones.

High Quality Sound & Noise Suppression

I have several headphones, including Boise Noise Suppression Headphones; these are as good as any of them. They beat out the Boise on their comfort. They are light, have a soft ear pad, and they cover the ears better than the Boise. The sound quality is also very good. No complaints.
