    Originally bought the Sony - WH-CH700N headphones because I travel a lot and my old noise cancelling headphones died. The 700’s met my needs except for 2 glaring issues. I had to take one ear off to talk to or hear anyone else (expected). The second issue was that anytime air would blow over the headphones (like from the little air-vent on the plane or an open car window), the noise cancelling would freak out and make a loud, jarring hissing noise. Tried the Sony - WH-XB900N‘s that a friend had and they ere excellent! You can simply hold your hand over the right ear cup and the sound stops so you can hear and talk to someone next to you. Rolled the window down and the noise cancelling did not freak out. Even though I do not like too much base, the Sony headphone app allows you to dial it way back. Glad I was able to try these - definitely worth the difference in price over they 700’s.

    These are comfortable over the ear headphones. Would recommend them when they are on sale. One down side is the app to control them is kind of awful.

    This is my second pair of XB900N's. I've been very impressed at how long the batteries last while on a full-charge. The sound is very clear and has an excellent base. The wireless range is about 50 feet and that includes going upstairs from where I have my TV located.

    Good headphones. Great quality and sound. The active noise canceling works well. The battery lasts a long time. Easy to pair. Only regret is not waiting a week - went on sale for $50 less and can only wear them for an hour before my ears begin to hurt some.
