THE BEST, but get a darn case for it

Good bluetooth connections with my smart phones and Nvidia Shield TV. The noise-canceling still works when using the analog 1/8" cable and my xbox controller and older smart phones. Get a decent case and it will last. Without a case, it will be doomed to premature cracking.

Exceptional sound, very powerful bass. The noise cancellation worked well on the plane. I did get a little ear fatigue right at the 3 hour mark, but that's probably expected.

Good not great

He plays a lot of PlayStation it doesn’t connect directly to the PlayStation tho so that is a big downside. I had to buy a bluetooth adapter in order to use it with the PlayStation. It really doesn’t make sense that these expensive Sony headphones don’t work directly with a Sony PlayStation. These headphones also don’t include a hard shell case like other premium headphones. Other than that tho these are great headphones

Mine has issues with audio delay when on Bluetooth. No such issues wired though. The noise cancelling is the highlight here. It is excellent. The extra bass is nice, but everything else can sound a little muffled sometimes.

The noise cancellation was pretty good, about on par with my old Bose QC15. And the option to filter *in* ambient sound so you can listen to music and still hear conversation around you is pretty neat. However, the sound profile is so tilted toward the bass, I kept wondering where the treble was. (I know: it's on the more expensive WH-1000XM.) Adjusting the EQ in the app to the "Bright" setting helped some, but if the hardware just isn't there, no amount of adjusting will fix it. If you listen to mostly bass-heavy music like hip-hop/R&B, you might be perfectly happy with the sound. If, like me, you listen to mostly rock and metal, you'll be left wondering where the cymbals went. At full price, I would have been really disappointed. For a Black Friday 50% off special, these are still a good value. They're just not for me.
