From a phone a meeting perspective the sound of my voice through the speaker on these is distant, but works. Back to listening to music I love the Sony app that lets you customize the sound. I had to use a powered USB hub with an AUX out on my tower PC because the headphone jack on the front io was **not** cutting it. Everything sounded flat and awful. In bluetooth mode, which I imagine most people use these for most of the time, these are great. The Sony App needs work, but the different EQs/Soundstages are interesting, I like being able to tweak the sound to suit my preferences. Even in default mode they sound great. Not as great as my KEF 104/2s powered by a chunky power amp, but for headphones I'm sure they can hold their own with everything between $175-$400 no problem. At first I thought they were squeezing my head like crazy with absurd clamping pressure, but once I extended the hinge a bit more they feel much better. My max length listening session, without significant fatigue, went from probably 30 mins to 3 hours. I do worry about the hinges and whether they'll stay strong. Plastic is not a good choice for headphones. Ever. They feel solid now, but I imagine in a year they'll be creaky like the 900s I got years ago. Don't expect them to be BIFL headphones. I bought them for $100 after using my best buy points so that risk of early failure is something I'm willing to live with. If you want something long lasting, you need to go metal.

Excellent Sound, 1 star off for modest noise isolation. Sturdy, comfortable, and well made over the ear. Some heat build up on the ear but nothing excessive. Built in volumn controls are not always user friendly and take some time to adjust to.

But first, the noise cancelling comes and goes, or something happens that causes the background to change. I use the headphones to listen to audiobooks, so i can't just take them off if someone asks me a question. The tapping on the right earpiece works pretty well except when you are in a hurry, then it seems to not work at all. But that's just me!! I do love that i can go back or forward or louder or softer with a swipe. I also found you can "deaden" the sound by cupping your hand over the right earpiece so that you can hear the other person. Ok, the flaw. I have a desk i use to put together puzzles. I have a florescent floor lamp on one side. Whenever i put my headphones near it, they tend to go crazy. It will start pausing and starting and sometimes quit playing. I've learned it's better to just power the headphones off and back on to get it back on track and work not so close to the floor lamp.

Allow us to help and troubleshoot the problem. If the noise canceling not sufficient, please make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on and wear the headphones properly. The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
Noise or audio dropout may occur under the following conditions:
When there is a human body between the headset and the Bluetooth device
-Put the Bluetooth device in the same direction as the antenna of the headset to improve the
Bluetooth communications.
There is an obstacle, such as metal or a wall, between the headset and the Bluetooth device.
- In places with wireless LAN, where a microwave oven is used, electromagnetic waves are
generated, etc.
