Great Sony sound, cheap materials

Sadly, the quality of materials has declined. These headphones feel like they could snap at the hinges over time. I am not rough with these headphones and use only indoors. They often creak when moving and feel hollow. Cushions are soft and the headband cushion is great. I hate the touch controls for volume, used my phone to change the volume. The noise-canceling is adequate. Nothing great, comparable to their h.earON2 from a few years ago. The feature to lower the music by cover the left cup with your hand and quickly speak to others is very cool and useful. However, in an office setting this may be weird, as the others do not know if you can hear them well or that the music is lowered.

The issue is that the technology is not comparable to that of less expensive models. The WH-XB900N does not support multi-point technology. This is the ability to connect multiple devices to the same set of headphones. For example, having your computer and phone connected. When your phone rings the computer audio is paused and you can answer the phone. For this price point, I would expect technology like that since it can be found in less expensive competitive models.

I returned the Bose headphones and that was a mistake. After only two months these headphones came apartment and I was livid. They are not of good quality. I hadn’t dropped them or anything. They still work but they well come apart on the side where you adjust them. I’ve contacted Sony and they want me to pay full price again at only 3 months into my purchase. I will stick with Bose. They are not of good quality. The sound is great but not quality of the product isn’t good. I didn’t find them to be user friendly neither. The volume or sync buttons are not visible.
