The sound is great. And if you don't like the default settings, Sony has an app so you can customize it to your individual tastes or as to what you are listening. I have one setting for music and another for audiobooks. I used these on a plane for over 2 hours and they were so comfortable. The noise cancelling worked well, even without playing music. They are sleek looking and very easy to use. The controls are on the headphones themselves. AND I love this little option to palm the right ear and it lowers the sound of whatever you are listening to so that you can hear the person talking to you WITHOUT removing the headphones! It is literally magic! Oh, I can also use these headphones with bluetooth to listen to my TV in the middle of the night and not wake the house up. I definitely recommend these headphones!!

The sound quality is phenomenal, the unit is so soft and light weight that it isn't a distraction when you have it on. Several of my co-workers have put them on and have been amazed by the things I just described. I would highly recommend them to anyone in a work atmosphere where you need to block out distracting noise so you can focus on work.

Initially I wanted to get the bose ones that cost nearly twice as much as this but I'm super happy with my decision. Absolute beast of a noise cancelation and sounds great! Battery life is surprisingly awesome if you remember to turn it off when not in use. I highly recommend this product, build quality and sound, ticks every single box!

There basically a Hybrid of the 950N1’s and the 1000XM3’s you get the best of Both worlds with these headphones, but if it’s sheer head rattling bass that you want? go with the 950N1’s but.. I assure you won’t be disappointed with these at all; and these are a lil louder than the 950’s In the mid’s

Midrange Sony NC Headphones

The decision finally came down to being able to get these for less than half of the high end Sony’s. The noise cancelling on these is not as good, but I don’t fly regularly and will use these mostly at home. So, the bottom line for me was that I really didn’t need the absolute top end model based on my use. These are super comfortable and very soft on the ears. Sound is customizable with the Sony app. I like the extra Bass but you can disable that if the sound does not suit your taste. Overall I am very pleased with these and do not regret not getting the more expensive model. I took a chance and feel that this decision was the right one for me. Others with different needs may well be happier with the XM4’s.

Amazing Bluetooth Headphones

I got them for portability because I wanted to be wireless. These sound absolutely amazing even compared to my vmoda m-100’s. The bass is crazy. I’ve been considering turning it down on the Sony app. The gestures using the right ear is so convenient. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

I’ve gone through many iterations of various headphones from Bose, to a Beats, to JVC and even Jabra, and aside from the brand new Sony 1000XM4s (which are astronomically more expensive), can find nothing close to the XB900n. At the price point now ($123) from BestBuy, you cannot possibly be disappointed!

This Sony headphone is fairly light-weight with very comfortable ear pads and a premium feel. The sound quality is excellent and the noise-cancelling feature works great once it is activated.

These headphones have impressive range if you are walking away from your device. I only have to charge every two to three days. I really enjoy being able to control the volume and change songs simply by touching the outside of the right earphone. The sounds in crisp. I'm glad I purchased these.

The nouse cancelling is not the best but it is very compareable to the more expensive headphones. The only issue I have is that you can bot connect 2 devices at once theses headphones only allow you to connect bluetooth to one device at a time. Overall great headphones.

I have also tried the similar priced 910 model from Costco but this one has better noise cancellation and bass sounds way better. All other features work as advertised. The ear cups are also soft and comfortable and looks good with a better quality.

In terms of audio quality, the XM3 and the 900N sound almost identical, except the 900N have more bass!! Love the bass!!! If you are not a bass lover, you can always tweak the equalizer to your liking. And the Sony app equalizer is the best!!! They are more comfortable than the XM3. More padding, less clamp pressure. The only thing that is very much inferior compared to the XM3 is the Noise Cancelling. The XM3 is superior BY FAR!!!! The 900 ANC is not bad, but the XM3 are way better. For me the XM3 and the Bose 700 have the best ANC, period. But if you are not looking for the best ANC, get these 900N, save the extra $100 and you will not regret it. Trust me!!!
