If you touch the ear controls on the one side.

Humming in My Ear

However, pretty frequently a humming noise starts occurring in the right ear on the ambient setting. When I switch it to noise cancelling the humming intensifies. It's very uncomfortable to listen to for long periods with that noise. I'm going to see if I can get them fixed but if I can't I will return them.
