They do the trick but you need a song playing a decent volume to cancel out everything. The ambient to noise cancelling is a nice feature but if worn to long, it kinda start hurting my head. Overall good heaphones

The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. You may also find this link helpful:

You may also be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Note: Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while.

ANC, passthrough, solid sound

They have active passthrough, which is an awesome tech you can here the outside while you wear them. Not only that but if you place your hand on the right earphone it lets the volume and activate passthrough so you can speak with people. Also has ANC which is really solid for the money.

I bought them to use while playing drums and they are excellent for that. I also just used them while traveling and the noise canceling is amazing. However, it did irritate my wife because she had to nudge me any time she wanted to talk to me because the noise canceling is that good!
