Purchases these wireless headphones but decided to return them since they were a bit heavy and bulky for traveling. Sound was excellent and liked that it included a sturdy case.

Excellent sound and I’m enjoying them. I’m old school, so I had a little learning curve using them, with the touch and slide motion controls on the headsets. I’ve never used blue tooth wireless headsets before.

When the noise cancellation is on there’s a hum that I personally can’t deal with. When ambient is on the sound is good. Good battery life

Purchased brand new. Sound quality was okay, but regardless of the noice cancelling mode it has a very noticeable rumbling sound in the left ear cup, I even tried wearing the headphones backwards to make sure it wasnt my ear, but the sound remained in the left ear cup (now on my right ear). Also theyre pretty uncomfortable. I will be returning it.

I bought a pair of Sony WH-CH700N a couple years ago on a Black Friday sale. I was looking for a decent set of Bluetooth headphones with Active Noise Cancelling. They were disappointing. The Bass seemed to be missing and the Noise Cancellation never quite worked to my expectation. It seemed to only muffle mid-range droning noises and conversations seemed to come through pretty well. Compared to a set of Bose QuietComfort 35, I honestly thought I had a bad set of headphones. Between my dad and I, we tried another set of WH-CH700N from a different store and came to the same conclusion. I later got a chance to compare them to the WH-1000XM3. Those made quite a difference. They were great sounding, Bass was definitely present and the Noise Cancellation had everything I was looking for and offered adjustable noise cancellation levels, which was a piece missing from the Bose QuietComfort 35. At first glance, these WH-XB910N seem to be a successor to the WH-1000XM3. The WH-XB910N adopts the touch controls that the WH-1000XM3 initially brought to the market and carried on with the WH-1000XM4. The WH-XB910N also come in a nice sturdy case with a male to male audio cable and a very short USB-C charging cord. However, upon picking up the WH-XB910N, I started to notice hints that helped price these headphones in the mid-range. The plastic of the headband and outer shell of the ear cups doesn't have the satin smooth feel of the WH-1000XM3. Instead it has the texture of my desktop keyboard. There are no golden accents to the microphone holes. Some of the screws for the headband are visible. And the stitching of the ear cup pads is a little more prominent. The earpads seem a little thicker, which is better for sound isolation, the cups are also longer and narrower, which is fine for my ears, but for those with wider ears, they may find that distracting. They also weigh about a 1/10 of an ounce lighter than the XM3's. The initial clamping force of the headband seems to be stronger too. Pairing over Bluetooth was nice and simple. I also downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect App for my Android phone and connected the headphones in there. Unfortunately, there was a firmware update waiting for these headphones that prevented me from really getting into listening right away. I think I saw a hint that the firmware update would take up to 40 minutes to download and install. Thankfully, it was much shorter than that. However, once they are set up, these headphones no longer resembled a mid-range set of headphones. They jump to the head of the class. Active Noise Cancelling works great. I believe they perform as well in my use cases than the WH-1000XM3. Mid-range droning noises are really suppressed. Conversations are taken down to probably 1/3 the volume. What surprised me was that the Bass levels are even better than the WH-1000XM3! Bass fans that have previously flocked to Bose or Beats will surely be impressed by the Sony WH-XB910N! The factory tuning is decent, but being able to use the equalizer in the Sony Headphones Connect App really makes a big difference. There is an adaptive sound control that I found to be annoying as it would change between full Noise Cancellation while I was sitting down to allowing Ambient noise when I'm walking around my house. It would also chime as it switched to the different control modes. So I turned the Adaptive Sound Control off within an hour of use. The Sony Headphones Connect App does have more controls with the more premium WH-1000XM3 headphones such as atmospheric polling, but aside from a plane trip once a year, I don't think that's going to make any difference to me. Phone conversations were nice and easy. The people on the other end did not have any difficulty understanding me. One of the sorely needed features was full multipoint Bluetooth support. I'm so glad that Sony finally figured out how to get this to work properly. Within the Sony Headphones Connect App, you do need to enable Multipoint. Once you do, it will allow you to connect two devices and it lists those devices for you. I had my phone and desktop computer. If I pause my phone audio, I can immediately listen to my computer audio without lifting a finger and switching back is equally as effortless. Overall, I'm beyond pleased with these WH-XB910N. They may look and feel cheaper than the top of the line Sony headphones, but the audio features can hold their own against any of the top line contenders.

I researched quite a bit and listened to as many as possible which were only about a dozen. I found these on sale at BestBuy. I do like them, easy to use sound good. Only complaint is that the controls could definitely be better. Volume control is my biggest complaint.

The quality of the headphone is ok. It’s plastic so if they were to be dropped or sat on by accident they will break. The sound is good and has a equalizer on the sony app to change it to your liking as well as the bass level.

Sony makes great products but these were not comfortable over the ear set of headphones. I own the 1000XM4 but wanted something larger to use at home. Not for me but I am sure they work well for some with smaller ears.

I’m a music enthusiast who, largely because I’m generally on the go when listening to music, prefers truly wireless buds (with ANC) rather than headphones. So, I’m surprised by how much I really like the Sony XB910N over-the-ear (OTE) headphones. These headphones are rated for 30-hours of play time. I previously owned headphones with 30-hr batteries (different vendor) that were so heavy-weighted that you could use them to defend against an attacker. I am not kidding! After about an hour of wearing them, my ears were sweating, and my neck hurting. By comparison, these Sony XB9510N headphones are much lighter and don’t bother me at all. I have to imagine that most of the weight – they weigh 8.4 oz - is due to the batteries. Although, I’m sure they’ll get lighter as I use up the battery. (Just kidding…) Anyways, I did 2-hour extended music listening session with these headphones to gauge how I would hold up. There was not one bit of moisture around my ears at the end of the session, and my neck wasn’t bothered at all. Sure, I’m in a temperature-controlled environment, but it’s the same environment I was in with my older headphones when I sweated constantly. Per my experience, some OTE headphones have a sound deafening aspect to them when you put them on. I don’t like that! These Sony XB9510N’s don’t have that issue at all. They allow sufficient ambient noise in before turning them on. To pair the headphones, press and hold the power button (left earpiece) for a few seconds to place the headphone into pairing mode. Pair to your device and you are ready to rock and roll. An ANC (active noise cancelling) button sits next to the power button. Press the ANC button to turn ANC on, and again to turn it off. Very easy to use. In addition to the power and ANC button on the left side, there is also the USB-C charging port and headphone cable port, as well as their required cables. Sony does not, however, provide a charger. Also provided is a nice case for transporting the headphones and cables. Once paired and powered on, the right earcup is where much of the cool stuff takes place. It is capacitive based, tapping or sliding your finger is how you control what you’re listening to. Tap twice in the middle of the earcup is the same as pressing a pause/play button. Swipe to the back of the earcup skips to the previous song. Swipe forward on the earcup skips to the next song. Swipe up to increase volume, swipe down to reduce volume. Returning to the batteries. Sony advertises these as 30-hr headphones with the ANC turned on. Turn off the ANC and they become 50-hour headphones. Both numbers constitute a huge amount of listening time. If you find yourself short on battery, a 10-minute charge is supposed to provide up to 4.5 hrs. of additional power. These, for sure, will accompany me on my next plane trip. These headphones work with Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa, and as soon as I paired the headphones to my Android phone, the phone prompted me to link them to Google Assistant. Very easy to set up. The bass on these headphones is quite good! It doesn’t drown out the mid-range or upper range at all but amplifies the bass to compliment what’s playing. Play “The Pusher” by Steppenwolf for a most enjoyable example of what I’m talking about. While the bass is exceptional, the whole sound range is equally as great! ANC on these headphones is no slouch either. I turned it on while watching tv and sitting near my wife. A strong rap on my shoulder alerted me to a conversation my wife was having with me. I apparently missed the whole conversation. Darn! I can now say from personal experience that these headphones do a remarkably good job of filtering out competing outside noise. The build of these headphones seems fine. It’s not flashy or high-end looking, but perfect for this price range. The capacitive touch-controls work quite well, although I did have to play with it for a bit to get it right. I inadvertently (and repeatedly) skipped to the next song when trying to increase the volume. Yep, I’m a button sort of guy! All in all, I think these are really good headphones. They have excellent ANC, equally good sound, and are reasonably priced. That’s what I look for in headphones!

When it comes to headphones there are no two things more important that sound quality and comfort. And these headphones do both nicely. They are not the "most" comfortable or the "best" sounding, but at the price point I did not expect them to be. If what your looking for is a comfortable set of headphones that sound good over long listening sessions and have a nice punchy low end to boot then this is the set of headphones for you. The Noise canceling is really just a bonus on top of a decent set of headphones. For the sound it's clear and sounds good enough that most music sounds decent. I will say that bass heavy stuff sound better but that's because that is what these headphones kind of excel at. If your looking for super high end clarity and super clean sounds maybe this is not the best set of headphones for you. If you like low rumbles and nice kick in your bass then these are great for that. Battery life on these was actually really impressive. In the amount of Time I've had to review them I've not had to recharge them once (a little over 25 hours of continuous use if I did my math correctly) I have no worries about picking them up and having to worry about if I need to charge them before I can use them or not they are good to go almost without any worry at all. The last part of this is comfort, while these headphones are light and very comfortable my only real complaint is that the ear cups can get really warm if your the type of person that tends to run a little hot to begin with. I know they chose the materials for cost effectiveness and to help a little with sealing for the punchy bass but they did tend to get really warm while I was using them. Your mileage may vary on this point though so don't count them out just on that one note. Overall these headphones where a nice allrounder to just carry around and use when needed.
