Good headphones to get on sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony XB910Ns are a GOOD set of headphones, but I would still recommend getting them on sale for at most $130. At that price point, you're getting a set of headphones that look fairly sleek, have a long battery life, and fold for easy portability--but these headphones also have their downsides. The active noise cancellation is decent, but I still heard sounds coming through the earcups even with the setting on. I also found that the clamping force was a bit too hard, but I didn't really notice this until after wearing them for a couple of hours. I also found that no matter what equalizer settings I adjusted in the app, I couldn't find a good mix of settings without something sounding muffled due to the XTRA BASS. You have to download the app to get the most out of the headphones, but if you don't mind that then you will notice that this app also has some cool settings. I already mentioned that you can adjust the equalizer settings, but there are also options to adjust settings for the noise cancellation, along with an option to connect 2 devices to the headphones simultaneously. Another cool feature on this headset is that you can temporarily turn off noise cancellation by covering the right ear cup with your hand, which is very convenient for many reasons.

My only issue is that these are not comfortable on my big head/ears for extended wear. These headphones come off at the 2 hr mark.

Good headphones esp, for the cost

Great Sound, Strong ANC

Great durability as well. Only downsides were that the battery life started to take a downturn, and the ANC is SO strong that it was overwhelming and a little isolating.

The pass-through audio mode is one of the best I've heard. The music playback itself is pretty good. The noise cancelling is also pretty stellar. Some of the nicest and most comfortable cans I've used.

Great sound canceling head phones!

These head phones are really great. Used them on a recent trip to Hawaii. The battery still has charge after traveling both ways and sitting in the airport for the layover. Totally recommend them.

I am much less impressed with the microphone. There is often a synthetic sound similar to static through whatever it picks up. It can lead you to repeating yourself often. I am hoping to see a firmware update address this one flaw. I put "yes" on the would I recommend them to a friend question, but understand - If I just wanted them for listening I would not hesitate to buy them again. But for phone calls? I might have to look elsewhere. Here's hoping they can update and improve it.

When it comes to general music listening, these do a great job, whether i'm just relaxing and listening or going on a walk etc. the quality is generally above your average everyday headphone, but that is to be expected at this price. Although hard for me to compare to others in this pricepoint because this is the only pair I own, I can't complain about them at all, sound quality is high and the noise cancelling works, so not much more I can ask for, the closest thing i have to a complaint is that the case and way the headphones fold is a little odd, but managable once you get the hang of it.

I use these when I mow lawns for a local golf course. Battery life is incredible. Only downside is that they can get a little warm around the ears after wearing for about 4 hours straight

Nice headphones

My husband has the TV on full blast, so in order to read I need to muffle the sound. We,live in a “open plan” condo and there is no place else to go . I use the headphones with music apps to help dim the dialog. They are comfortable to wear and easy to,use.
