Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.these are very nice but by default they are very bassy, but if you use the app to change them to bright and play with the bass setting to your liking they sound so good :) might not be the best for noise canceling but if you can get them for $150 or less you are doing great. and the nc is better that nothing that is for sure. only time will tell with build quality but they seem fine if you are somewhat careful and use the case when transporting thus far for reference I mainly listen to pop, so your eq preferences might change depending on genre. but bright really helps pop music ahh “pop”.

I suppose the very high end $300+ that Ive heard (including SONY's) do have a bit more sharpness, separation, clarity etc. That's real. But that's also PRETTY particular. I am a professional musician, who produces, and have pretty decent ears. I heard these, saw it was only $120 or so, and was like, "these are great, I'm in, I'll enjoy anything I listen to with these headphones. Thnx SONY for an excellent quality, good sounding set of headphones. I would buy again, and certainly recommend them.

Great but…..

Bought these thinking that they would have the same bass as the Sony Xb 900 but these fell shy of that. The sound is great and so is ANC but the bass and max volume just don’t do it for me. Got the Sony XM4 instead and I love them.

Thank you for your time writing this review. We're glad you like the amazing sound quality and noise cancellation of your XB910N headphones. However, we're sorry if you are experiencing issues with the noise cancellation while playing music. Here are some steps you try to fix the problem:
Adjust the fit of your headphones.
When the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.
With the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Wind Noise Reduction] or [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode.
Check with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app whether the function of the NC/AMB button is set to [Ambient Sound Control].
