Super great, especially for college

The noise cancelling and personalization options is great, coupled with the ease-of-use buttons and lightweight wear. They feel stable but not sturdy, so I do wish they folded or felt a little more solid but I have had no problems transporting them. Battery life is also absolutely amazing and charges super fast so I have never worried about that. Only slight inconvenience is switching between being connected to phone or computer. Would definitely recommend.

Great for the money, may require eq. tweaking

Their noise cancelling works great for me, while other brands make me feel too much "pressure" in my ears. This model has good noise cancelling, looks good, and is very comfortable. The construction is not as solid as their top of line, or this very model two years ago. The sound quality is... interesting. The low frequencies are there, the highs are there, and the mediums are weirdly amplified. Almost all modern headphones have a built in equalizer that filters out mediums in favor of high and low, but this one doesn't, so the songs might sound flat. I use a media player app with a pretty good equalizer, but it took some tweaking to get the sound right.

Sound clarity is pretty good IMO, noise cancellation could be better but maybe I just haven’t mastered that control. Battery life is OK but you have to keep an eye on how much charge remains. Connectivity is usually not a problem except if I have them on in the car.

They're only thing is that when I took it straight out of the box and put them on, one of the adjusters snapped and it's just dangling ever since but they still work great and I'd recommend it. The noise cancelation feature works great! They also fit well and they don't hurt at all after a while of wearing them. The sound quality is great. The microphone is okay, and connecting to a new Bluetooth device is relatively easy.

I have yet to try the noise cancelling feature on an airplane, which is what I bought them for. As these are my first noise cancelling headphones, there is nothing to compare them to.

DECENT ENTRY LEVEL HEADPHONES

If you have big ears like me though, they begin to hurt a little after a few hours. I'm happy with the purchase so far though, and feel that they have really good value at this price point.

Average sound quality, frustrating app

These headphones didn’t sound great when I paired them with my computer, so I went to set up the app in hopes of tweaking the settings. That is when the frustration started. I already had the app on my phone for my other Sony headphones, so I opened it and selected the option to add another device. I followed the simple instructions, but the app didn’t find the headphones. I turned them off and back on – no change. I unpaired them from my phone and tried again but the result was unchanged. I even deleted the app and reloaded it, but it was like the headphones didn’t exist. I’m fairly competent with technology, I have a house full of smart gadgets that I install and use with no problem, so I’m fairly certain I’m not at fault here. If I am at fault, then I feel for anyone who struggles to get their smart devices back online after a power outage because this is far less intuitive than that. The sound is just not great by default, and I can’t adjust that without the app, so these are likely to sit in a drawer as my backup headphones.

Noise Cancelling with great sound on a budget

As someone who enjoys listening to music a lot, I feel like this does wonders because it's such a lightweight headset. The noise cancelling is not bad too. I tried it while vacuuming and I couldn't hear the vacuum that's just on my hand. However, it also doesn't completely drown out the outside noises and that's good because I want to be able to hear around me. The sound quality is pretty good. I hear the highs, mids, and lows pretty nicely. If you're looking for a headset where the bass is booming, this might not be it though. I think it's a good balance headset. My biggest complain with this headset is that as lightweight as it is, it doesn't let my ears breathe. My ears would be sweating after maybe only about 45 mins of wear. The ear muffs would be wet too. I guess this is more of testament that it really fits my ears well and that it covers your ears entirely, but I've worn headsets where my ears are still able to breathe even with passive noise cancellation. Overall, I think it's a solid headset.
