Skeptical that "Noise Cancellation" would affect performance. The headphones are absolutely fantastic. Beautiful refined bass, but outstanding midrange and highs. Sound stage is very open and the app allows you to further customize the equalization and staging to suit the user. Value for dollar is sky high. Sony is amazing at delivering an amazing listening experience. The only challenge was handling the multiple physical buttons on thr earcups. I am considering the WH-1000MX4 to get the capacitive touch-buttons and foldable compact design. Love Sony quality and performance.

Clearly not as good as the more expensive Sony X4 or X5 high end headphones, but these offer good performance for a much reduced price point.

Great sound and noise cancellation

The sound is excellent and the noise cancellation makes it nearly impossible to call him downstairs when he's wearing them. I have to get his older brother to get his attention. I guess they do what they're intended to do!

They are fully flexible and the battery life is unrealll. I charge them maybe once or twice a week and they just keep going . I give them a 8.5/10 . I would like the noise canceling feature to cancel more noise but it’s not bad !

Great headphones for the price

I wish the noise-canceling button was bigger and the notification was more clear on when it was on or off. I had an older version of this model that lasted 6 years and still technically works. I'm hoping these headphones also last a long time.

The volume is loud which I love and I also love how you can choose to have noise canceling on or off. They don’t fall off at the gym and are great for working out. For the price I feel like these exceeded my expectations. I would choose these over any other headphones.

We flew overseas for an international flight and these were comfortable for the long 9-hour leg enough to sleep in. Wonderful sound cancelling. Also can flatten pretty easily.

Great but too big

But overall they were quite good—great sound, good ANC, and the ANC works in both wired and wireless modes (which was imperative for me as I was using them for work). Love the color and they were very lightweight. Just too big width-wise for a very petite head.

Now I can not only listen to music , I can listen to my movies without disturbing my fiance while he is sleeping ! The earphones are also lightweight and adjustable fit . Makes watching TV fun. The noise cancelling adjustment button is great! I have a fish aquarium in the living room and when I use the noise canceling button, I cannot hear the filter noise from my aquarium at all! And all it takes is another push of the button to switch back without the noise cancelling feature !
