These aren't the best noise cancelling headphones out there, "noise mitigating" would probably be more accurate, but they definitely cut out ~70% of background noise. Probably wouldn't be great on airplanes, but for studying/writing these have been great. Battery life was pretty surprising, I didn't expect it to last as long as advertised. They charge fast, last forever and maintain really solid sound quality. Cons: The only thing I wish was different was they don't fold up so transporting them is tricky. However, this was stated in the product description so I can't really complain

She was looking at some Bose headphones, but these were the balance between cost and quality (she wasnt paying for them, and I have bills to pay) overall great headphones!
