They are not water proof but so far I haven't had issues with sweating during workout.

Disconnects Constantly

The headphones only work if you download an app and leave it open the whole time you use them. And they disconnect for devices contstantly. In 30 minutes I’ve had them disconnect at least 4 times. Its ridiculous. And when they disconnect the device continues playing whatever youre listening to…very awkward at work to start blaring music from your desk suddenly and multiple times in a row. Unreliable and just not worth it.

You can use the WHCH720N headphones without connecting them to the Sony Headphone| Connect app. This headphones will still work as regular Bluetooth headphones and use them to listen music, make phone calls, and user other audio features.
However, connecting the headphones to the app provides additional functionality and customization options. For more details, please refer to this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2966/v1/en/contents/TP1000776844.html
Bluetooth communications may be disabled, or noise or audio dropout may occur under the following conditions.
When there is a human body between the headset and the Bluetooth device
When this is the case, turn the Bluetooth device to face the same direction as the antenna of the headset to improve the Bluetooth communications.
When there is an obstacle, such as metal or a wall, between the headset and the Bluetooth device
In places with wireless LAN, where a microwave oven is used, electromagnetic waves are generated, etc.
Where there are other wireless communication audio devices or other people nearby, such as in train station premises or on a crowded train.

We gotbthrm on sale. Probably for good reason. Tried to return thrm and was told we just missed the return window by 1 day. How convenient for best buy. So we are stuck with them. Keep in mind, if there is a chance you will return items to best buy, do it quick or plan on them charging you at leadt $50 more to extend it 2 months. We are seriously considering not shopping at bestbuy any more. Good luck to you

Really shuts out the background noises. They also connect via Bluetooth very easily. They sound great also. Work better than my Bose that I paid quite a bit more for. Would recommend.
