Posted .Hi RS87,
We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the headphones. Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).
For pairing issues, please refer to these troubleshooting steps:
-Bring the headset and the Bluetooth device within 1 m (3.2 ft) from each other.
-When pairing a device for the first time after purchase or after initializing or repairing the headset, turn on the headset and the headset automatically enters pairing mode.
When you pair a second or subsequent device (the headset already has pairing information for other devices), press and hold the (power) button for about 5 seconds or more to enter pairing mode manually.
-Restart the connected device such as a smartphone or a computer you use, and pair the headset and the device again.

Usage hours may vary depending on the settings for the headset functions and usage conditions. If you set the following functions, the available operating time of the battery becomes short:
-Sound quality mode during Bluetooth playback: Priority on sound quality
-Noise canceling function/Ambient Sound Mode
-Equalizer
-DSEE
-Function to launch the voice assistant by your voice
If you run the above settings at the same time, the available operating time of the battery becomes even shorter.

Posted .Thanks for sharing your experience, ChristineI—We're sorry to hear about your difficulty connecting the WH-CH720 headphones to your computer. While it can be frustrating, there are a few steps that may help resolve this issue:
1. Verify Bluetooth Compatibility
Ensure your computer has Bluetooth capability and supports music playback connections (A2DP). Some computers require their Bluetooth adapters to be enabled separately.
2. Proper Pairing Procedure
First-time Pairing: Put the headphones in pairing mode by turning them on. If they're connecting to a new device (not the last one they were paired with), press and hold the Bluetooth button for about 5 seconds. The indicator will flash, and you'll hear a voice prompt indicating "Pairing."
On Your Computer: Go to Bluetooth settings, select 'Add Bluetooth or other device', and choose 'Bluetooth'. Look for 'WH-CH720' or 'WH-CH720N' on the list. If prompted, enter the passkey "0000" (four zeros).
3. If Connection Fails
Manual Connection: Sometimes Bluetooth headphones connect automatically to the last used device. If that device is nearby, turn off its Bluetooth or disconnect it manually before pairing with your computer.
Remove Pairing Info: If you can't connect, delete the WH-CH720 from your computer's list of Bluetooth devices, restart both your computer and headphones, then try pairing again.
4. Reset or Initialize
If you've paired the headphones with several devices and still can't connect, reset or initialize the headphones to factory settings (check your user guide for the process). Be aware this will erase previous pairings.
5. Additional Troubleshooting
Make sure the headphones are fully charged and within 1 meter (3 feet) of the computer.
Try connecting with another device to rule out issues with the computer's Bluetooth hardware.
For video or voice calls, ensure the correct audio profile (HFP/HSP) is set in your calling app or OS settings—otherwise, sound may not work properly.
6. Software Updates
Always keep your headphones' firmware and your computer's Bluetooth drivers updated, as new updates can resolve connection problems.
If you've tried these steps and still encounter trouble, please, contact us:
https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones
We're here to help and want your Sony product to work as intended.
The WH-CH720 is designed to work with a wide range of computers that support Bluetooth audio, so with the right setup, you're likely to get it working!

Rich Sound and Great Noise Canceling Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony has a winner with the WHCH720N headphones. Their light weight makes wearing them for long periods of time a pleasure. The noise canceling capability of these is top notch and is far better than I expected. Regarding battery life, it has plenty of it. Up to 35 hours has allowed me use these connected to my projector for many hours of TV shows and movies. So far, I've only had to charge the headphones only once since I received them. The Sony app allows you to adjust settings to your preference. They also have a headphone cable port on them which can be used with the supplied 3.5mm headphone cable if you need to plug them directly into an audio source. The sound quality is great whether you are watching movies, listening to music or audio books, you'll appreciate the rich sound these produce. Connecting these to a Bluetooth source is simple and the controls on them are easy to find and use. Sony has done an amazing job engineering these for great sound and top level noise canceling. If you are looking for reasonably priced, comfortable to wear headphones with rich sound and great noise canceling, then I would recommend giving these a try.

Very comfortable, excellent noise reduction
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset arrived well packaged and with a nearly full charge. It only took a few minutes, maybe 15 to get it to full battery and then to adjust to fit and setup the app. The controls are well located and easy to use and the noise reduction was excellent. The dynamic range of sound was quite nice and the option to change from wired to wireless was a real plus as I use these at home and also when travelling and working out. The phone call feature and multi connect was seamless as well. The headset is light and the spring tension of the band is enough to keep the set on your head without feeling like it is squeezing your head or ears. About 20 hours of use thus far and still not needing a charge cycle yet. It would have been nice to have a case of some sort in the package and the cabling provided is somewhat short - so if you are planning on using these with the wired option, make sure you are set up to be close to the device or if worn that the device is close to your head. Also, you'll need an adapter (not included in the package) to use this set wired to a newer iPhone. All in all a very good set, lack of cabling length and case aside.

Sony working its magic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these looking for a starter set of affordable quality headphones. Having researched and watched reviews of the bigger name brand headphones with loads of features, I thought it'd be good to just buy a reliable product from Sony. First impressions, the headphones were cool, comfortable, and have an astounding battery life. The first week I wore these nearly 5 hours every day, the battery was only at ~60% after the week. Since then I've worn them in the heat while doing yard work, working out, running, and menial tasks around the house. They are excellently excellent. 10/10. Sometimes certain aspects of a product like the material just doesn't matter. Plastic makes up most of the headphones, but it's still super good quality, I don't feel like these will break, and I can tell the headphones will surely last for years. I have experienced zero issues with disconnection or being unable to pair with other devices. All in all these are a great purchase, absolutely well worth my money.

Best Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are noise-canceling headphones that are cheap and made by Sony. That has been unheard of until now (I believe). Out of the box, I was surprised by how small they were. It is also a different shade of blue than what is on the box. It is still a navy color but a brighter version. Inside the box, you get a USB C cable that is short (nine inches), an aux cable, and your typical paperwork. There is a piece of paper with a QR code on it so you can download the app. The app is probably the most annoying part of the setup process. I agreed to the terms/conditions, allowed the app to use my location, allowed the app to track, allowed the app to use the camera and more. I gave it permissions I would never expect to give to a headphone companion application. After five minutes of setting up my account and going through several prompts the app told me I was on the final step. I found that funny. These headphones can probably be setup via just bluetooth. However, I wanted to give the app a shot. I wanted to see what extra benefits it offers. There was a part of the app where it recommended I scan my ears to add a 360 sound feature. Sounds neat! One ear scanned just fine with my phone's camera. Took only a few seconds. The second ear was having problems being found by the app. It took me about five minutes to scan it. It was frustrating. Then when I finished the scans it asked that I download another one of its supporting apps. The only app I recongized was Tidal. Unfortunately I only use Spotify so I decided to not try this feature out. At this point I just wanted to hear music. I exited the app and started playing some. As it turns out, noise canceling was on at this point. I could somewhat tell the difference. It was indicated in the app. However, I could still hear sounds around me. Noise canceling works better when paired with music. If the music is quiet or paused you can hear the outside world. If your music is above 40% volume noises around you will be reduced or silenced completely. Anything loud, like an airplane's engines will still be heard from these headphones. I was expecting this quality when I got this pair. These do a decent job for the value. Sony is known for their Extra Bass products. These do emphasize the bass a tad. I like that. You can further improve the bass and pick other EQ options in the app. I own another type of bass boosted headphoenes and those are better. However, this particular Sony product is not geared toward that. You can be connected to two different devices at once. You have to turn on the option in the app. On my computer if I open up YouTube and pause Spotify on phone. After a few seconds I will hear the audio from the YouTube video. & vice versa of course. This works a lot quicker than disconnecting and reconnecting in the bluetooth settings. Very cool feature. The connection is stronger compared to my other pair. Every time I walked into the bathroom I would loose connection. The connection stays on for these and I noticed it works at further distances. The headphones are comfortable. I wore them for over five hours one day. I was not sweating. They did not hurt to wear for that long. The cups fold outward. I prefer they fold inward for privacy but that's fine. Better for them to fold, then to not fold. The buttons are fine. There could be more distinction between the volume and pause. Maybe they could be seperated. I would recommend this to a friend. For someone whose environments are not too loud. For someone who does not need that many features. & for someone looking to save some money.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these in Black for Christmas and I love them so far! They are lightweight and very comfortable around the ears. The sound quality is great, I feel like it’s very comparable to my last pair. My last pair of headphones were the studio 3 beats headphones. They would fall off during my workouts due to how heavy they were and my ears would get sore after a while (anything over an hour in them). I’m excited for this cheaper option and hopefully an upgrade to the beats! The only thing that would make this a 10/10 is if they offered these in more colors… particularly green!

Super great, especially for college
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this because it was $50 for the Back to School sale and I honestly think few headphones would match this quality at the $100 price point. The noise cancelling and personalization options is great, coupled with the ease-of-use buttons and lightweight wear. They feel stable but not sturdy, so I do wish they folded or felt a little more solid but I have had no problems transporting them. Battery life is also absolutely amazing and charges super fast so I have never worried about that. Only slight inconvenience is switching between being connected to phone or computer. Would definitely recommend.

A great set of budget ANC headphones!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is playing off the iconic Sony's everyone knows that has been around for years and there's a reason for that! Sony knowing this and went ahead and put together a winner of a set of cans here in my opinion. I have quite a few over the ear and in ear headsets with noise cancelling and long story short, is not the best, but for the cost, it's dang near it! The unboxing is super clean and simple. It's flatter and smaller than expected when I got mine in the mail. The reason is because there is not case or tote bag. No the do not fold in, but like the older models, they do lay flat. I went ahead and bought a cheap case. Which leads me to the the included usb c charging cable and 3.5 plug you can use if you still happen to have a device that can use a headphone jack. In order to pair them to your device, you have to of course, download their app, which is really good and has EQ settings and has a few tools to customize your listen level. Also there is an auto ambient setting which I was curious about because based on the app, the headphone/app combo can learn where you are and adjust the ANC or transparency. Of course you can manually swich these settings off and on and turn whichever option you want on a whim, but it was cool that it can do that. I mean most of us will be either using this on a bus or subway. Or even just lounging at home doing house work cleaning and such. The battery is stated for 35 hours from what I recall seeing. That's nuts! I mean these are super light but the build is not cheap fealing either. I know people like to feel heft in quality products, but think of a well made product but with light weight, quality feeling materials. I mean even the ear pads are nicely done. Not too soft, but not too hard either. As for the size of the ear cuffs, it fits my average ear fine, but I can feel my ear lobes hitting the mesh inside at times when putting them on. The first time I turned these on, I went to my personal downloaded music and then when to the streaming services to get a range of differences of what each would sound like. Thankfully, it was not much of a difference. But if you try the Sony 360 sound app with their sample song and video, it is pretty amazing. I was impressed on how these sounded right out of the box. I normally break them in within a day but these didn't really need that much breaking in. It just sounded great with everything I have heard with it so far. Would I recommend it? Heck yes! I got the blue one, which is dark navy, but I think offers in black and maybe white? Check online or at your local BB for that. These have won me over and will be my next travel set for sure!

happy headphone handler
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm SO glad I bought these headphones. I needed headphones that (1) had noise canceling, (2) were comfortable on the ears because I have cartilage piercings, (3) had a long battery life, (4) and less than $150. These headphones check all the boxes. Two notable cons: the headphones don't come with a case so I'll have to buy one. For some reason, while I played my music, there would be occasional pauses and I hadn't experienced this with any of my other headphones. The headphones stopped doing this since their last charge so I'm hoping it was just my phone or a glitch. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase!

A Lot Of Technology In Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never knew there was so much technology they could wrap into a pair of headphones, but Sony is definitely pushing the limits with this set. I've had noise canceling headphones before but nothing really prepared for where the tech has gone. First, the package they come in is very simple and efficient without being flimsy. It's an easy open box with a nice design that lays out to an open presentation. No digging or dumping of the headphones nor the cables. Inside is fairly basic, the headphones of course, and a couple cables. A USB-C charging cable and an audio jack cable. I have anything that has an audio jack anymore, but it can prove useful if you want to use the headphones and run out of battery. The USB-C charger is the expected norm so it's nice to seem continuity. A little quick start pamphlet is also included, but it's not really necessary because everything is pretty evident. The headphones are pretty comfortable, over the ear with an adjustable head strap. All pretty standard and expected. I have a fairly large head and I still have a little bit more room for adjustment if I need it. All the plastic seems to be solidly made and I don't have any of the cracking or stress sounds you often hear with over this style. The buttons are easy to find and use as well. I synched it to my iPhone via Bluetooth without any issues. The headphones told me they were in Pairing Mode and showed up on my phone as an available device. After they connected, the first nicety popped as I was told the utilize an app I didn't have installed and asked me if I wanted to go to the store and install. I did and it installed without issue. Upon opening the Headphones Connect app, it found them and walked me through setting them up. I answered some basic questions and configured it to let it do pretty much whatever it wanted to do. It said it had adaptive noise canceling and would predict what I was doing in an effort to adjust settings dynamically. This was new for me so I let it and decided to test them out. When I put them on, the noise canceling kicked in and did a pretty good job of blocking out ambient noise. That's what I expected so I wasn't too shocked or impressed. I walked outside and started moving around to see what adjustments it would do. It recognized I was walking and continued to filter out the majority of those intrusive sounds. Nice, but I didn't really think it was being tasked too hard with lots of different noises. I decided to really test it and got on the riding lawnmower while listening to an audio book. The narrator was crystal clear as I got onto the mower, but as soon as I started it I couldn't really hear it at all. I went to adjust the volume, but before I could the mower noise started to filter and the audiobook became clearer. By the time I put it in gear, I was able to clearly hear the narrator and barely hear the mower (it didn't mute the mower, but it dampened it enough for me to focus on the voice). That was impressive. I started mowing and checked the app and it had changed to cycling as my activity. I didn't expect it to say mowing, but was happy to see it knew the different between walking and riding. Here's the one glitch or fault I had with the headphones. About 20 minutes into mowing, the noise canceling just turned off all together and I was inundated with the sound of the mower. I couldn't hear the book at all. I opened the app and tried to tell it to adjust or return to previous settings or anything, but couldn't manually override it to the quality that it had automatically adjusted. I was about to write them off as flawed when it re-adjusted and everything went back to glorious silence and an audible narrator. I continued mowing for another 40 minutes without any other interruptions. I'm tempted to give them 5 stars because they sound great, are pretty comfortable (the top of the band is a little uncomfortable on the top of my head), and they do a great job at adaptive noise canceling. However, if the app can drop out and I can't override with the same quality then I have to wait for them to automatically adjust each time instead of starting at a known point. I'm hoping some app upgrades will address that one issue, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them exactly as they are to everybody I know.

They're great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved it! They're perfect for the gym and for running + daily activities. They're only thing is that when I took it straight out of the box and put them on, one of the adjusters snapped and it's just dangling ever since but they still work great and I'd recommend it. The noise cancelation feature works great! They also fit well and they don't hurt at all after a while of wearing them. The sound quality is great. The microphone is okay, and connecting to a new Bluetooth device is relatively easy.
