Good enough

While a wired connection does indeed work with these headphones, I believe there is a DSP in the Bluetooth connection which improves the sound significantly. In wired mode, the headphones don't sound all that good. There is also the issue of wired mode not working while the headphones are powered on. Wired mode only seems to work when the headphones are powered off. All I get is a static noise while they are turned on. After updating the firmware and software and using the Sony app I found there is still no change, so basically wired mode doesn't work with the noise cancelling. The headphones are also not all that comfortable over a long period, but still average overall. With all that being said I still find the noise cancelling effective and the sound good enough over Bluetooth so I kept the headphones. I wish the headphones delivered on their promise or were at least up front about the limitations related to wired mode. Otherwise the headphones are pretty good.

It has cancel out a lot of noise so i can only hear my music in peace. The loudness is great and so is the basebost. Would recommend getting these if you like loud music and no noise from other people around you.

Basic but good sound

Great noise cancellation

Saw these and bought them on the way to the airport :) Easy enough to setup which I did on the bus ride. Even installed their app and adjusted the equalizer. Bottom line is the noise cancellation was very effective! Sound quality was good too. Probably would not have bought them for sound quality though as I think you can do just as good for less. But with the noise cancellation these are winners.

Great for the money... Not for Bassheads

Pros: - With some EQ tuning in the Sony phone app can provide some very good sound and clarity. Excited EQ preset is a good one - Enough bass for most songs paired with clarity for most musical genres as long as you're not looking for thundering bass - VERY comfortable as they are shockingly light and have just the right padding in all the right places... they feel much lighter than they look - These look nice and look more expensive than they are - I don't need ANC but this does an ok job if you turn it on. It doesn't produce noise cancellation miracles like the high end Sony's, Bose, or Apple headphones. Cons: - If you want that really deep bass, think the bass drop in the "Immortals" song by Fall Out Boy, you will NOT feel it with these headphones no matter what you do. The XB910n headphones will work for that. - When you turn on the headphones takes a noticeably long amount of time to connect to your device (compared to older Sony WCHC700N headphones I had) - Had a couple of times the connection dropped already. Reconnects in under 5 seconds but no rhyme or reason to it - So light they almost seem like toys... you will love it while wearing it but it is surprising to pick these up - Doesn't fold up small... folds flat and you'll need to buy a case if packing them up to keep them safe. Overall: - Solid buy if you're on a budget. Definitely try these out for fit at your local store... That sold me on these over the XB910Ns that were not as comfortable on my ears. - Covers all the music you'll likely listen to and looks/sounds good doing it - Very comfortable and no fatigue after hours of wear!

Hands down Best we've owned.

I do construction work in mine and they've saved my head countless times, as well as providing excellent noise protection. My kids put a solid 80 hours a week use, for years on these. The only weak point is the swivel, but it took 2 years for that to fail. So I'd say these are a solid choice. 100% our go to headphones. I have a set of Bose, as a comparison, these may not have the sound clarity, but they fit better and stay on better.
