However, regarding the PlayStation 5, these headphones don't support Bluetooth audio connectivity with the PS5. The PS5 doesn't allow standard Bluetooth audio devices to connect directly due to latency issues with Bluetooth audio streaming, which can affect gaming performance.

If you want to use the WH-CH720N with your PS5:

Wired Connection: You can connect the headphones using the 3.5mm audio jack to the PS5 controller for audio output. However, keep in mind that this connection won't allow you to use the microphone built into the headphones since it only works wirelessly.

Third-Party Solutions: There are third-party Bluetooth adapters which can sometimes work around this limitation by adding a low-latency Bluetooth connection to the PS5, although compatibility and performance can vary.

Sony offers headsets like the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset that are specifically designed to work with the PS5 without these compatibility issues.

For gaming, if wireless audio with a microphone is a priority, you might need to look into headsets specifically designed for console use or use the wired option with external microphone solutions. However, for non-gaming uses, your WH-CH720N headphones appear to be a great choice.

For future use, once the headphones are paired and set up with your preferred device (like your iPad), you don’t need to reopen the app every time—they’ll connect automatically. If you ever want to use the headphones with a different device, you can pair them through Bluetooth settings even without the app, though advanced features may be more accessible with the app installed.
