My need was a bit specific, but I feel the reasons I chose these are broadly based. The Bose quietcomfort's did not allow noise reduction while plugged into a cord. That killed that set. They had good sound, but I mean c'mon. The Beats were just plain uncomfortable on the top of my head. No padding...and were not recommended by a few folks I talked to. JBL, meh, ok. These Sony 720N are light, comfy, ANR when plugged in, and sound great. My one big complaint, is the battery life. Sometimes it seems to last pretty good, and other times, it's only mere hours (5 or 6) before it's down. I don't understand what's happening, but the life is no where near what's rated. I only use them for one thing, and that's plugged into a drum module. Not sure if that has an impact or not, but having ANR is critical for that. I wish they would add a larger battery, at the expense of more weight, but I also wanted a headset that I could use if traveling, and like the lightweight for that. I haven't tried the battery life with just listening to music/videos without being plugged in, but I'm betting it's way better. At 99 bucks they are going to be hard to beat!

amazing battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones almost two years ago now and waited until now to write a review for them. they are some of the best headphones i have used. the sound quality is incredibly good and they can get very very loud. additionally, the noise cancelling/transparent modes work very well as well (especially in the gym). one thing i want to highlight is the fact that i use these headphones every day for at least 4 hours and i typically only need to charge them once a week, if that. the battery life is amazing. the only thing i really have to "complain" about is that the microphone isnt that good, but if you arent needing to use the microphone that does not really matter.

Not to mention, the comfort is a win! Noise canceling feature works very well even in the airports. Sleek styling and great wireless connection strength. The bass is great and the volume is ideal even in loud settings. The battery lasts long. Listening to music, watching TV or playing games is much more enjoyable with these on!

Decent pair of sony headphones.

I wish I would of stepped up and got the next level of the sony headphones for the better noise canceling. Doesn't come with a case which is disappointing. Battery life is next level. Im use to having to charge my headphones frequently and this last a long time, hope it stays that way overtime.

We're happy that you like most of the features of your Sony WHCH720N Headphones. Your feedback regarding the noise cancellation performance is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. The noise canceling function primarily works for noise in the low-frequency band (train, airplane, engine noise). Although noise is reduced, it is not canceled altogether. If the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient, try to adjust the headset into a comfortable position. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

The excellent battery life, rated for up to 35 hours with Noise Cancelling enabled, along with the comfortable, lightweight design, makes them perfect for all-day listening, which is exactly what they were engineered for.
In relation to the call button issue, to help you identify it without looking, look for a small, raised dot or bump on its surface. While the volume controls are typically the ends of a rocker switch, the call button features that distinct tactile marker to guide your finger by touch.

High end budget headphones

If you pay more youll get better quality but considering the price i would say they are high end budget headphones. They are very comfortable and in that regard are better than their price. They are light weight and have good battery. They sound good too but if you have ever owned the more expensive headphones then youll notice the sound quality isnt as good ( but still good for their price range)

Sony WH-CH720N Wireless Headphones

I was contemplating the AirPod Max’s or these headphones and I’m genuinely so glad I went this route instead. The pads are pretty comfortable and I can wear them for hours. And speaking of hours, THEIR BATTERY CAPACITY IS INSANE. I’ve used them pretty regularly over the course of a month and I forgot to recharge them and they lasted so long. I’m very impressed. The noise cancelling feature is easy to turn utilize with turning on and off, and it’s quite simple and quick to connect my headphones to my phone or my laptop or other electronic items. I wish I got them in black instead of blue, but other than that, I’m tremendously satisfied with these headphones.

When it comes to comfortability, that is always first on my list when scouting for headphones and sound quality is second. But these said “ITS ME HELLO” Because they have both of those qualities and then some. Multi Connection, crystal clear phone calls even if the Noise Cancelling tech is grand. The Spatial Audio/360 im not sure on because i have an iphone but they still sound oh so sweet.

Solid all around headphones

Battery life (30 - 40 hours) is great! This charged by USB C and it charges quick. The sound is very good, Im no audiophile but I can tell you with confidence that these do sound very nice! These headphones also fit around my ears and on my head quite well. I can wear these for an extended amount of time without feeling any type of discomfort. Im also a big fan of the noise cancelation feature on these, its works wonders. The color is nice, I bought both the black and blue ones. Last but not least is that I can also use the 3.5mm headphone jack with these headphones! Super cool since most companies dont offer this feature no more! Id say the only downside is that these dont come with a case to protect them but thats me being nit picky.
