These were very easy to hook up and work great . Now I can watch TV late at night and have the volume up.

I have hearing loss and the sound quality of the headphones is far superior to tv sound with hearing aids. The volume control wheel on the side is frustratingly hard to control with the headphones on. It needs greater friction to fine tune the sound volume.

We got this for my Dad because he wanted to watch TV at night without disturbing my Mom in the same room. I think in headphones like these you want 1. Decent Build Quality 2. Ease of Use 3. Comfort and this is a decent choice. Are there better (and more expensive) options out there. YES. If you have the money upgrade. BUT if this is within budget then go for it.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made! I bought it as a gift for my husband but really for me. Now I do not have to listen to sports and morning talking heads programs unless I want to! The headphones do an excellent job of confining the sound and the range is excellent. He has been able to go upstairs briefly without any loss. He says they are comfortable to wear. The optical cable is included although it is not mentioned in the item description. I bought one and returned it. The included is fine for TV programs.

My husband has had this type of headphones in the past because of the comfort while wearing them and the clear audio sound produced. The only negative to this Sony headphone is that there is a weak point where the section which covers the ear connects to the headband. It eventually breaks. We know because this is his third headphones set. So why does he continue to get the same thing knowing this happens. The reason is that after trying several other brands Sony's good features outranked the one negative. As long as he is satisfied and I don't have to hear the TV at a super loud volume, well all is fine.

Bought these for my 91 year old dad. They are comfy to wear and have a long range. Very easy to set up. Well worth the money. He doesn’t have to wear his hearing aids while using them.

I have three major issues with these. 1) The usable range is not very far, once the distance is 40 feet it becomes iffy and they tend to cut in and out. Another old set (different brand) I had worked well over a ¼ mile away. 2) The auto tuning takes a moment to kick in, so often the first few seconds of music or video are missed. When possible the media can be restarted, but that's a pain. 3) The adjustment for the headband slides too easily, so the headphones are as secure as they could be. They aren’t secure if being active. Sound quality is okay, battery life between charging is very good. I would only recommend these with caveats.
