My hearing isn't all that great and I needed a pair of headphones so I could watch TV while others were in the next room sleeping. They're not completely noise cancelling, but pretty close. My daughter watches TV normally at night with me and I wear my headphones and she can still hear the TV.

Not as great as hoped

The sound quality is ok, it's not as great as my sound system. I had hoped for better sound.
