purchased for 70-year-old father who has suffered slight hearing loss...initial impressions are very positive

I bought these for my grandpa. He loves them since he can’t hear the tv well anymore and it drives my grandmother up the wall when he turns it all the way up. It’s saved their marriage :p

Tried to use two Sonys headphones off the same output jack using a splitter and got a lot af static. Switched one of them to an insignia brand and the static was gone. So I guess two of the Sonys can not work together. Tried to find a solution but could not.

Great product. Can now hear clearly everything being said.

This is our second pair of sony headphones; one for living room so the tv doesn’t ha e to be so loud for hard of hearing and one for the bedroom so the other person doesn’t isn’t disturbed while one is sleeping.

Needed something to watch tv and not bother anyone else because I am hard if hearing and have to have the volume up loud. This does it!

Bought these for my husband because he's has ringing in his ears and that makes him hard of hearing. He used to have TV turned up so loud and with these he can hear what hes watching and I don't have to keep telling him it's to loud. They are great!!

Could not get to sync with NetFlix. Otherwise headphones were good.

Spend some extra dollars and get the Sennheiser set. I purchased and return two sets of these headphones. My first set were Sony's and I loved them, they lasted a long time, and it was time to replace them. So naturally, I replaced them with another, supposedly an upgrade, pair Sony headphones. I was so bummed when the first pair sounded like they were blown. Not to worry, I gave them another chance and exchanged the first set for a second pair. And to my utter disappointment, they were also blown, but also were full of static, like I was too far from the base, but I wasn't. So back to the store they went. This time, though, I exchanged them for the Sennheiser pair. I really wanted the more expensive Sony (I was willing to give them a chance), but I would have had to wait to get them until the next day and I was in need so I could watch the Astros Game 1 of the ALCS. So, I settled. Boy, am I glad I did. So move on from the Sony sets and purchase these Sennheiser - RS 175 Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones. Be sure to get an analog connection just in case because if you want to operate a soundbar or other sound system as well as the headphones, you'll need to go analog with these. No worries, there's no sound distortion or quality lost -- I promise. So glad I went with the Sennheiser!

My husband is losing his hearing. The volume on the TV kept getting louder and louder. We finally decided to try these. I'm so glad we did. It definitely saved my hearing. He can listen and not have the TV on extra loud.

This is the 2nd Wireless Sony Headphones I have purchased from Best Buy. Generally satisfied with two exeptions: 1. Volume control wheel is stiff, making it difficult to change volumes to reach the desired volume level. 2. Expected to find improved audio quality from the earlier headphones. Unfortunately not so. Frankly I should have splurged and purchased the more expensive headphones available through Magnolia.

Excellent head phones. We were looking for something for my husband so he could hear the sound on the tv better. These were recommend to us by staff at Best Buy. They are fantastic. Crystal clear sound.

The Sony headphones are a great deal for the price. The sound is balanced well with a decent amount of bass.

I bought these because I getting hard of hearing and I needed something so I can hear the TV better and not blow everyone out of the room. These have two ways to connect to a TV. One is through a 3.5mm phone plug. The second is with a supplied Y adapter so you can plug into RCA connectors. There is not a way to go through an optical connector. But there is probably an adapter to accomplish this.

The headset is great. Good sound,very clear. Easy to use.
