I bought these because I getting hard of hearing and I needed something so I can hear the TV better and not blow everyone out of the room. These have two ways to connect to a TV. One is through a 3.5mm phone plug. The second is with a supplied Y adapter so you can plug into RCA connectors. There is not a way to go through an optical connector. But there is probably an adapter to accomplish this.

Haven’t fully set them up, just did a test run on my phone and they seem ok, might update once I have my desktop set up and have them hooked up to that but so far so good

I bought these for my grandpa. He loves them since he can’t hear the tv well anymore and it drives my grandmother up the wall when he turns it all the way up. It’s saved their marriage :p

All my TV's have Rokus and I think the wireless from the Rokus interferes with the wireless from the headset and causes it to cut out. Sound is good when working and comfortable. I hope to try them on something else soon.

Excellent head phones. We were looking for something for my husband so he could hear the sound on the tv better. These were recommend to us by staff at Best Buy. They are fantastic. Crystal clear sound.

These headphones work great. Easy to set up and use. Really comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. Bought as a gift for my father-in-law who is hard of hearing. He loves them for watching TV. Don't have to have TV blaring away anymore.

Could not get to sync with NetFlix. Otherwise headphones were good.

Spend some extra dollars and get the Sennheiser set. I purchased and return two sets of these headphones. My first set were Sony's and I loved them, they lasted a long time, and it was time to replace them. So naturally, I replaced them with another, supposedly an upgrade, pair Sony headphones. I was so bummed when the first pair sounded like they were blown. Not to worry, I gave them another chance and exchanged the first set for a second pair. And to my utter disappointment, they were also blown, but also were full of static, like I was too far from the base, but I wasn't. So back to the store they went. This time, though, I exchanged them for the Sennheiser pair. I really wanted the more expensive Sony (I was willing to give them a chance), but I would have had to wait to get them until the next day and I was in need so I could watch the Astros Game 1 of the ALCS. So, I settled. Boy, am I glad I did. So move on from the Sony sets and purchase these Sennheiser - RS 175 Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones. Be sure to get an analog connection just in case because if you want to operate a soundbar or other sound system as well as the headphones, you'll need to go analog with these. No worries, there's no sound distortion or quality lost -- I promise. So glad I went with the Sennheiser!

Very easy set up and works great. Charging dock cradles the headset for ease of charging.

We had Sony headphones before and was so happy with them, we bought another pair for our other television. You cannot beat the quality and price for headphones. We are very happy with this purchase.

I had to return this item. My TV was not compatible to the headphone wiring.

Sound quality is great and they were easy to hook up. Saves ones marriage too. My wife can listen to the TV at a normal sound level while I am wearing my headphones. With out the headphones I would have the TV turned on to off the chart loud.

This is by far the best thing I have bought from you. The sound is great , making my family happy while I watch tv controlling my own level of sound.

Much better design than the Insignia wireless headphones. These were a gift for my father in law who needs them to hear his TV. Very easy to set up and so far so good for their use.

This is my second set of these. Great for me. I use them everyday due to my hearing lose.

Great sound quality. Afterall its Sony. No audio lag only drawback is it lacks bluetooth

I purchased these headphones for my mother who is hard of hearing. She can now hear the tv while everyone else watches at a lower volume. They are very comfortable. Easy to install. Just as the sales associate described. Definitely recommend!
