Purchased this Headphone set on 5/23/20 at my local BB store. I needed to be able to listen my TV in Master Bedroom without being told to turn it down. I chose these based on the Sony Reputation. It was very simple to install to my Cox Contour Box using the supplied RCA jacks and without any setting adjustments. The negative part is the sound quality, not very good. A background noise that is almost always there when watching a movie, but not while watching normal TV. I I tried to fix the problem by purchasing a converter which would allow me to connect to the Digital Audio Optical jack on the Contour box. However, even though it worked, the background noise was still there. The BB rep said to return the Sony and exchange for the Insignia.( which has more hookup options). However, even though it had only been about 3 weeks, the time allowed to return had expired. So I guess my only option is to either live with it, are suck it up and purchase the Insignia.

Great headphones, clear and concise sound. Allows for listening to the TV without bothering others.

My husband was having a hard time hearing dialog in the shows he watches. So the volume is always up too loud. He decided to try these and they solved the problem perfectly! Definitely recommend!

My son uses these as he is autistic. They fit over his ear well and block out a lot of noise

I bought these headphones for my daughter. She is legally deaf and these give her the option of listening to her music or her TV without wearing her hearing aids and without blasting the sound. We love them!!!

I have used the Sony Earphones in the evening and nightly to watch TV. The sound is very good in the earphones while the TV is silent to anyone else. Love them and family is not bothered byTV noise.

Bought a pair for myself around a year ago loved them great sound so this year I bought my dad a pair, maybe more for my mom,dad like the TV very loud. They both love them.

You hear a steady clicking until you turn the volume up on the TV as high as it will go. You cannot hear the TV and you adjust the volume on the headphones. When you unplug the headphones the TV stays at normal volume and when you re-plug the headphones in the back of the TV, it maintains the high volume so you do not have to turn it up each time

We fly a lot. These are so nice to block out the noise and watch a movie. I bought a new one and thought I would try a refurbished one for my boyfriend to save money. It works perfect.

Works just like I had hoped. Allows me to listen to TV at a volume I could not after my wife has gone to bed in the next room.

It was s easy to connect with my Samsung TV, even though I had to buy an additional device to connect the base of the headphones to that device and from there to the tv. Excellent sound

Excellent product I had no problem connecting this to the tv. It was very easy and works great!

This headset was marked "opened" and then resealed with tape. It was missing one cord, and did not work on my television. In fairness, this would have been my second unit, and the first worked perfectly and lasted about four years. I tried interchanging new parts with old and could get nothing to work. I also tried it on a neighbors tv. Same results. I think it may have been damaged and returned, which is why it was resealed. In any case, I will be returning it the next time I visit the town where I purchased it, which is 60 miles away (and I try to avoid). Too bad. I really liked the original.

Nice headphones but just wasn't ok compatible with my TV.
