The others broke just above the ear piece. The one thing I did not like was all the thin black plastic covering the foam for the ears flaked off and got on every thing.

I am somewhat deaf and have to have the TV volume up really high , not anymore . My Sony 49 inch XBR smart TV has a headset connection,just connect the base and power and you are done. The headset volume is totally separate from the TV volume which enables my family to watch the TV at their normal volume
