Worth the upgrade

Pretty good noise cancelling

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Noise cancelling headphones tend to be pricey and the ones that aren't tend not to work. These seem to be ride that like of being affordable and justifiable for the average person to spend on headphones while also having pretty good noise cancelling. They aren't the best but they work better than I had expected. They eliminate about 80% of sound around you but do so in a way that's strange to me. For example I can be right next to the air conditioner and it will filter out that perfectly but then at the same time I can slightly hear the TV which is 8ish feet away and I can hear someone 3-4 feet away talking unless I have the content I'm listening to at about 40% total volume. That being said I'd definitely buy them again and have no regrets at all. They are actually the first pair I've purchased but I've used many over the years. Well I do have 1 regret actually... Right after I bought these they announced an updated model that is essentially replacing this and that new model has more microphones which I assume means even better noise cancelling. Oh before I forget... You have to use them wired but these work amazing as (virtual) Dolby Atmos & DTS:X 3d audio headphones on the Xbox and PC (Win10 & 11). Oddly they can't do 3d audio on the PlayStation but they can do regular stereo, also when wired. Overall sound quality is pretty good as well but I think most of the cost goes into the noise cancelling side of things. If you're listening on something without an equalizer they can sound a little flat and empty but these days most devices have some kind of EQ and that includes phones.
