I still have a set that is 7 years old and holds a charge for days. I use all kinds of headphones in the studio (akg sennheiser etc etc). For every day use in a casual setting, you just can’t beat Sony. Their studio headphones suck, but the 710/910/1000 series bt headphones just can’t be beat. Better than beats imo.

These have much better bass response, which is why I bought them. There is actually so much bass that I turned it down slightly. The noise cancelling is good enough at the price, but sometimes changes which can be jarring. I got these on sale, and I feel the price I paid was fair.

Regarding your concern with the noise canceling function, when the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Headphones Connect app detects your action and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control. Great battery life, still cannot find something as good for that price range. The ambient sound is clear and the noise cancellation is amazing. The sound quality is good, not loud enough in my opinion, but I listen to metal music. Even when listening to metal music, I can hear all the instruments clearly.

For the price and quality at stake, I've concluded that Sony offers me more bang for my bucks. I am especially impressed with the noise canceling feature, which works flawlessly by reducing ambient noise around me. I can enjoy a phone conversation while watching TV, and even the person on the other line can't hear the TV's sound. ANC is very important to me because I need the phone for confrence calls when I work from home. All in all, the headphone is well built, comfortable to wear and doesn't hurt my ears. I just bought ii and hope it will last me a long time. Also note that the Sony App makes it veey user-friendly. I wod definitely recommend the WH-XB910N to friends and family members. In my opinion, it's a better product than the Beats Studio 3, which costs way more money.

Excellent sound and ANC, extreme bass if desired

If you're sensitive to ear pressure from ANC, these might not be the best for you for long term use. Using transparency mode lessens the sense of pressure quite a lot. Boosting the bass in the app will be more bass than I can ever imagine anyone needing, even the most extreme bass lover.

If your into working out with headphones I don’t know if they will stay on while sprinting but they do a good job if you’re jogging and lifting. The active noise canceling is actually really good too.

Hinge and wind issues but good sound

Pros: The sound canceling is more than excellent. The sound quality is spectacular as well. It has a strong bass, which can be changed through the app to be extra strong or very light as you wish. I also love how the headphones have a sound-canceling mode and ambient sound mode. I use the ambient sound setting when I'm on a busy street to stay alert of my surroundings. Cons: There are some important cons that I wish I took into consideration before purchasing these headphones. First, the swivel hinge broke off only three months into using them. I had dropped them from about 3ft off the ground causing the hinge to snap. I contacted support and they could not fix/replace it since physical damage is not covered. I screwed off the headphone piece to look inside, and the piece that had broken (a very important piece to the product) was a flimsy cheap piece of plastic. For the price of these headphones, I couldn't believe that such an important piece would be made so cheaply and would break so easily. Without the swivel hinge, the whole earpiece dangles from the head band. To add on, I need to pay to get the necessary broken pieces and fix them myself, or get them fixed by a professional with my own money even though they are under warranty. If you purchase these, you will need to be very careful when handling them. They are NOT heavy duty in the slightest. Second, when the ambient sound setting is used outside it picks up the wind sound - which can be heard very loudly through the headphone microphones into my ears. It is also hard to take a phone call through the headphones when walking outside because the microphone picks up wind noise which can cause annoyance to whoever you are talking to. I would not recommend these for people who are planning to use them mainly outside, especially in windy areas. These are some things I wish I had known. I hope this helps.

Touch controls are much better than fumbling for buttons. Ear cushions are not quite as soft as my old ones, but they seem to be breaking I to conform better. This was a great buy on sale.

She absolutely loves them: the range on bluetooth is excellent, sound is great and they are really comfortable. The gestures sometimes need a couple of times to work, but it's more of where you put your finger rather than a design flaw. Would definitely recommend, especially if on sale.

Good battery life, I connect WIN laptop and Android phone simultaneously and use AUX with PS4 for a mic. Love the noise cancelling/ambient noise/off button. Headphones recognize if you in doors our outside with proper set up. I own 5 Sony audio products: sound bar, on ear head phones, earbuds and over the ear headphones
