He said he can hear everything perfectly, with no loss of any information, which GREATLY reduces his frustration levels. The connection is supposed to be 5mm headphone out from the TV to RCA in on the base unit, but Sony doubled up the jacks so if there is no headphone jack on the TV, by reversing the included cable you can use RCA out from the TV to 5mm ("headphone") on the base unit. Very handy!
