You know, for a lot of things on TV, you really don't have to be watching. Listening will do fine. However, if you need to hear at a later volume and don't want something thrown at you, use these headphones. They don't work more that 80 - 100 feet away.

They're a bit heavy but have a very comfortable fit w/ adjustable headband. The RF doesn't have the line-of-sight issues that IR types do. They are easy to hang on the base/transmitter (in either direction) for recharging. Turn them on and use - no fiddling around.

Sometimes the tv was turned up so loud that I would be able to feel the vibrations in addition to hearing the program wherever I was in the house. Now I have to get his attention by touch or taking the headphones off of him. I also have to ask for the volume to be turned up so I can hear!
