I purchased the headset that was recommended to me when the GeekSquad came to deliver and install my new Sony tv. They said my old headset wouldn't work and I needed a newer one for my 4K tv. I ordered it, plugged it into the marked "headset" slot. I can't leave it plugged in because there is no sound from the tv. The headset itself when playing Xbox1 has a lot of static when I can get any sound out of it. Then the sound goes out and it's back to static again. I'd return it but I purchased it with Reward Points and paid only $5 for it.

Bought a second pair to see if I just had a lemon.. But nope the second pair lasted only a few days longer and stopped working as well.

Our older model of 10 years worked well until it died. This newer model does not work quite as well for our purpose.
