My husband has trouble hearing and turns up the volume on the TV. I got these for him for Christmas hoping they would be the answer to a more quiet home and they turned out to be the best Christmas gift I've gotten him a long time. He can now listen to TV without disturbing the rest of the family. They have good long range reception and not static. The charging port works well and they hold a charge for long periods of time. He has told me over & over how much he likes them because he can now hear his programs even with his hearing problems.Thank you!

I purchased this set of Headphones because I was constantly tripping over wires. These worked out just fine. Very good sound and reception. In fact, I ventured out to get my mail ((mailbox is at least 150 feet from Sony transmitter and I could still hear the music from a CD...albeit, fading did occur new, and then).But if you stay anywhere on floor where transmitter is located, then the reception was very clear. Also, I can say the same for when i strayed to the basement, one floor down). Earlier, I mentioned that the 'phones were slipping from my head. I solved that problem by wearing a baseball cap, underneath them. They have not slipped since then. You won't go wrong with this purchase.

I bought these so I could watch tv at night and not disturb my husband and I was surprised at how well they worked! I did experience a little static but I pushed a little button on the headphones and the static disappeared. Sound quality is a lot better than I expected after reading review after review on RF wireless headphones. I wasn't ready to drop $300 on a digital pair, so this was a nice alternative. My husband was impressed too so we will be buying another pair so he can watch his horror movies in the living room without disturbing me! So far very pleased with my purchase!

I bought these headphones to be able to watch movies and shows at night in the living room without disturbing the kids and I am very satisfied with the sound quality. FM reception is crystal clear without any interferance and the noise cancellation works pretty good . The only issue that I have is with the weight of these headsets and also not that comfortable on the ears

unfortunately my application not for making-up hearing difficulty but three channel use with three transmitters for my 90 years old mother for use upto 150 feet range. Purchased 2 nos full sets; got delivered in 2 days; Easily set up one for deck player set to channel 1 and another for TV set to channel 2. Both head phones easily auto tune and also switch channel and auto tune just by pressing auto tune button on head phone. (every press channel changes) 150 feet range works except at computer table up-to about 4 feet distance of WiFi there is motor-boating noise. Bulky and heavy, even sweats- mother felt same and said " ( if the other (BestBuy) contemporary model is also not user-friendly due to on the ear model and loose fit) why they make & sell these ? Any way will try and get used to it." Informed my brother to return and try 2nos Sennheiser RS120 (the range 300 feet but reviews had reports that Sony's over the ear more comfortable than on the ear Sennheiser). However no experimentsby my brother; he simply returned to BestBuy. Thanks to BestBuy, Sony, Sennheiser for all cooperation ! This was gift to my mother who lives with my elder brother. Guess after use one will get used although would appreciate improved model with an additional cost of say 25%

These headphones are very nice. The sound quality is very good. Easy to set up and use. Range is good. Can go to frig without missing the sound of the show. Noise reduction worse well.

This is the third set I have bought. Bought the 1st pair for my husband so he could watch TV late at night and not disturb the rest of the family. Bought the 2nd pair for my daughter who lives in an apartment with vey thin walls. Just bought the 3 rd set for my other daughter who lives in a dorm. Good sound and also blocks out surrounding noise fairly well. They are a little large for my head and shift a little if I move around, but over all work well.

I purchased these headphones to more easily hear the television well without blasting my wife out of the room. I had problems with the headphones shutting off...changed channels and all is well so far. Sound quality is good.

This was not what I came in for. Wanted bluetooth headphones with dongle. This was all they carried in the store. As it turned out, they work well for my husband who needs the tv on so very loud . Peace and quiet.

I had a Sony wireless headset (MDR-RF915r) that lasted for 12~13 years. It died 6 mo’s ago. Just received my new Sony headset (MDRRF985RK) and it is perfect. It fits better and works better than the old set. My original setup used a cord from an older wired headphone with the old phono plug to connect into my 12 year old Sony receiver. Then I plugged the short cord that came with the RF915r, with adapter, into the old long cord. That gave me the length I needed for my setup. This new 985RK came with the same short cord so the new stuff just dropped right into my setup without any problem. Only change I made was to use the new power adapter (12v vs. 9v).

i have had them for 6 months already and the sound quality is really good. im happy with the purchase and my wife even more since i dont bother her anymore while she is sleeping.

These headsets are used as an adjunct to our surround sound system. They help a family member who has a slight hearing issue. The headsets fit comfortably on the head and provide excellent hearing assistance with full surround sound.

I purchased these for my dad who wanted a wireless set of headphones to use when he stayed up late watching tv in bed. He reports that the headphones are comfortable, and the sound does not escape when he uses them at a volume sufficient for him to enjoy the television program he is watching. He also enjoys the clarity and depth of sound that he gets from these headphones. He is quite happy with these Sony headphones.

Sony makes nice headphones specially when it comes to tv. This is the best wireless headphones I have ever had for tv. It has nice soft feel with strong built and best sound quality.

Out of the box and working in under 5 minutes Just hook up to audio out (white and red) of my direct tv box Plug in power supply and it worked. No distortions either. Easy! The sound much improved over the sound coming from my tv My wife doesn't grumble at me anymore when I watch TV while she sleeps. I only have to be careful not shake the bed! ; )

Set up was easy. At first, the volume was very low even with the volume on the headphones at max. I went through the TV settings and found the headphone volume was low so I turned it to max. After that I was getting a lot of static noises so I adjusted the TV setting back down a little and it's been great ever since. I haven't had any problems with them and the range is great. I've went +50 feet away and into other rooms without hearing any static or interference. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!

My son received these as a Christmas gift. They have good sound quality. He likes that he can walk around without being "tied" to the TV/Stereo receiver.

Works well, I can here better and not bother the neighbors in my Apt complex. I can understand what people are saying.

I purchased these so I could listen to what ever as not to bother my wife. Not usually a Sony fan. It has been a really wise purchase.
