If you reduce the volume then it turns itself off automatically.

This is the third set of these headphones I have purchased for use with three different televisions. I like being able to turn the sound up on the headphones while the sound on the television is turned off..

This product really can add surround sound without the extra speakers and is also great for someone who is a little hard of hearing, Or just being quiet in a room where others may want to read and not watch or listen to TV. Nice quality and ear fit as well.

These are great for that hard of hearing husband. He quit watching TV because even when it was turned up so loud he still couldn't hear. Now he can walk around the house or sit down and hear everything. Glad we can sit down together again and watch TV and movies.

We got these for dad because he couldn't turn up the volume on the tv loud enough for him to hear it. They worked great. The adjustments were difficult for him to use, but that was because of his age and abilities.

I want to buy my parents a set each so they can watch separately and enjoy there own show.

I bought these headphones for my 73 yr old dad who lives in a nursing home and has a roommate. They both have tv's and was difficult to hear one over the other, and he loves them and has solved so many issues.

This set is what it says it is. Easy set up very good sound. My only wish is that it was sound deadening but, it never claimed to be so no disappointment just a wish. The stereo sound is very good and it does reach through out the house. I really enjoy watching movies with them.

Sony is the best product and Best Buy has the best prices. Especially when you price match!!!

Bought these headsets for my dad, so he could hear the TV without annoying everyone else by having the sound turned up LOUD. He likes them, but finds they bulky. Would have preferred a slimmer style.

I bought this for my husband's use. He needs the volume higher than I like it, and this makes it great for both of us. Also, he is a night-time listener (after I've gone to sleep), this makes it wonderful, that I am not disturbed!

Comfortable to wear. My only minor complaint is you have to push the auto tune button to eliminate hiss as you walk around the house. If you stay in one spot then no problem.

I bought these for my wife who has a tendency to wake in the middle of the night and turn on the TV to get back to sleep. These are comfortable enough to allow her to drift off to sleep while watching TV and not disturb me and at the same time the sound quality is pretty good.

Easy to setup and use, met my needs for private listening.

The salesman called this the marriage saver and properly so. My wife and I have very different tastes in tv. It's nice to put these on and wear comfortably for hours if my wife is reading or sleeping. She will also put them on so as not to disturb me.
