They are for the z9f system, but when I turned them on, there is barely any sound coming from them. I'm not sure what the speakers are for? I notice in louder scenes they kick in, the actual background noise...they don't do much for surround sound if this is what you are looking for. I think they just peak in sound when there is a lot of background noise added to a scene. I was purchasing these in the understanding they would be closer to surround sound. They are far from that, they only make enough noise when the scene has background noise in it. Otherwise these speakers are not really usefull, the sound just comes from the soundbar like normal. I don't quite understand why these speakers cost 300$ and they only pick up certain background sounds? I could use an expert help on these....
