Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the sound quality, easy setup, and wireless feature of the Wireless Rear Channel Speakers. They appreciate the amazing sound quality and feel that adding these speakers to their soundbar enhances their entertainment experience. The easy setup process is also praised, making it convenient for users to get started. The wireless feature is another highlight, allowing for a clutter-free setup. However, some customers have concerns about the price, compatibility with certain devices, volume level, and the non-removable power cord.

I first tested the soundbar which sounded great but couldn't tell if Atmos was working or not. The sound bar comes with a demo disk. I played it twice to make sure. Then I added the rear channel speakers. Once plugged in they connected to soundbar automatically. Can't get any easier than that. Once operational I restarted the demo and again played it twice. Atmos is nothing short of amazing. The remote has volume control for the subwoofer, rear speakers, and soundbar. I turned the volume all the way up on the rear speakers. When gaming on my Xbox One X that has games that support Atmos. It is fantastic how sounds from all around can be heard. It has a tually helped my gaming. Movies sound like I'm in a theater. This is a great setup.

Sound from these rear speakers is very poor. Very disappointing. With hindsight, I should have returned them and got my money back.

There is not a whole lot to say about these speakers that hasn't already been said about the sound bar itself. The greatest thing about these speakers is that aside from a power cable, there is no wires to concern yourself. Pairing these to the sound bar is completely painless and in-fact my sound bar found the speakers without needing to go through the set up process. The sound from the speakers is a definite benefit to the Z9F sound bar and well worth the use. The only down side I can tell is that there does not seem to be a way to change the volume of the rears independently aside from during set up telling it that the satellites are 0-6 ft away or 6-12 ft away, after which it appears to manage the volume by itself. Overall a great addition to the sound bar, just wish I could manually control the volume.

    A Beautiful Complement

The purpose of the Sony SA-Z9R speakers are meant to be paired and used with the Sony HT-Z9F soundbar. They are not meant to be used with any other soundbar systems. The pair of speakers are pricey and tip the scales at $299.00 dollars. They are super compact. in size, easily fit on a bookcase and do not take up much space. When utilized with the soundbar, they offer so much more sound to the overall picture. They really add a lot to your listening pleasure. These speakers don't supply base, so don't expect to be "rocked" by them on this front. These speakers paired immediately with the Sony soundbar. Overall these little giants complement your Sony soundbars in a big way. If money is no object, purchase these add on speakers. Sony has another winner on their hands. Another great Sony product!

    Sony Quality Never Disappoints

I admit it. We are a Sony family, but the bias in this case is justified by many years of experience with both Sony products & encounters with other manufacturers. We’ve rarely been disappointed with a Sony product and this is no exception. Never thought a soundbar could deliver such high level audio until now. This paired perfectly with our Sony 4K TV & the HTZ-9F Soundbar with wireless subwoofer to create a full theater experience. The soundbar/subwoofer combo is taken to a new level when paired with these speakers. This wireless system can compete any day with a fully wired surround sound setup. Audio is very balanced & requires little adjustment. The remote includes separate volume controls for the subwoofer & rear speakers. The result is full, crisp, amazing sound.
