This speaker is better by far than the MacBook Pro speakers themselves. The bass can be really appreciated. I'm going to buy another in order to get a stereo effect!

I like the way this wireless speaker performs. The sound and bass combination is awesome. I just might purchase another for a delightful stereo effect in the house.

For the price of this on the go speaker it works great. Loud and great bass. Best part is when paired with another Sony xb10 speaker to make it amplified even more.

I bought this speaker to use it while riding on my scooter. I was able to listen to my favorite radio while riding at the 45 mph and wearing a full helmet! Love it!

In terms of sound quality and volume, this is the best speaker in this size category I’ve used. It’s been perfect for work, driving or just lounging around. What helps set it apart (for me) is that are controls on the speaker itself, so you can control certain aspects of it like the volume on the device itself. The only gripe I have is that I occasionally have issues connecting it to phones other than mine (even when I disconnect it from my phone), otherwise, I highly recommend this one.

I got this for Christmas last year and wasn’t too excited about it at first. I have since grown to love this little speaker. Is small and light but packs a big sound. The battery lasts for quite a few uses which is always great. The Bluetooth connection is also nice and clear and doesn’t require any special connectors for your devices either.

Everything about this works well. The sound is surpringly big from this small unit. I’ve used it at 100 person events and at smaller venues. Works well.

I am extremely satisfied with the speaker. Good sound. Easily stores in my bag. Just took it to Hawaii and really enjoy listening to music at the pool.

I wanted something not too expensive for my son. After all, teenagers don't really know the value of money yet! :) I didn't want something too big either as we might bring this along with us on vacation. This is mainly to be used with a smart phone and maybe a tablet. My choices were the UE Wonderboom, JBL Flip 4, and this Sony. The Flip 4 had the best sound but it was somewhat "direction" in that the two drivers are on the ends so they fire in opposite directions. Note that you cannot stand it on its end as that will cover up one of the drivers. The UE and Sony were similar sounding but both cannot be stero since they have only one speaker. That was not a deal breaker since it's mono if you listen via speaker on your phone anyway. Givent hat the Sony sounded similar to the UE and at only half the price (it was on sale), I decided to give it a try. WOW! The sound is clear, strong bass, the highs could be a touch better but this is from something half the size of a can of soda! It's also loud enough. On our first charge, it lasted 17 days, on it's loudest setting, used about 20-30 minutes a day. That's amazing! Remember, it was on it's loudest setting (and so was the phone driving it). Note that the UE and Flip 4 are waterproof and the Sony is not. It's only splash proof but waterproof was not our requirement.

This speaker has great sound for such a small package. It fits in a cup holder (in a car or golf cart) so it can travel securely. the volume is more than adequate for most environments. I plan on buying another to get stereo separation capability. The bluetooth connection pairs easily and was very quick to get connected and playing music from my smartphone.

I have bought many speakers that say they are bluetooth compatible and that they deliver quality sound - i have been disappointed with every one of them up until now. Sony has proven they are still a top-contender for quality sound and it's in such a small package that it blows my mind. It's clear, portable, water resistant, and black. Plus it makes my music sound great...

The Sony XB10 is a fairly good sounding, versatile blue tooth speaker that synchs easily with Apple (and apparently Android) phones. It is water resistant (not waterproof) and very durable due to a lightly padded exterior. Sound quality is good -not great: not meant to replace your Bose BT speakers. My only complaint is that it would be nice if it could be somewhat louder. But for a small BT speaker, this would be an excellent choice for either back yard relaxing or light travels.

Good volume and bass. Charge lasts, easy pairing, great value

I am very impressed with this speaker especially for its size. The battery life is also very good. However, I primarily use it to listen to podcasts while taking a shower. I have used it out by the Pool as well and it help up great. I oringally bought a Fugoo XL, but the sound quality was poor compared to this Sony despite the fact that it was much, much larger.

I absolutely love the speaker. For its size, it has the best sound quality of other similar-sized speakers. I've since purchased two more.

SONY never ceases to amaze me with their product quality. It's been little more than a year, but so far the performance has been amazing. I love the color and the size - perfect for desktop speakers or even for pool party or while in kitchen. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze. Fantastic product!

This is a great little bluetooth speaker. I was skeptical but it really has Extra Bass. I can feel it thumping through the table or counter when I am playing music. Amazing for such a small portable speaker. In addition to having full base it is also clear. It isn’t muddy and it doesn’t get distorted at high volume. The carrying strap can be used to suspend/hang the speaker but it also doubles as a cradle/stand so you can aim the speaker horizontally and it will keep it from rolling around. Most of the time I listen with it directed at me this way but you can also stand it on end pointing straight up. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time. They claim 16 hours and I have no reason to doubt that. I’ve been using it 2-4 hours a day for 5 days and it is still going strong. The bluetooth connection is maintained even when I am on the other side of my condo so it has good range. It is very easy to pair and if you have an Android phone with NFC it is even easier. It has a built-in auxiliary mini-jack input if your music source doesn’t support bluetooth. It includes a USB cable for charging. There is a little light that turns on while charging and it turns off when charging is complete. I’m very happy with that design, great for color blind people (hard for me to tell the difference with lights that change color). A great design feature is the speaker is water resistant. You don’t want to submerge it but you can use this where it might get splashed with water and not worry. IPX5 means it is rated to survive water jets. Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. The speaker has a built-in microphone and can be used as a hands-free speakerphone when it is paired with your phone. I did test this feature and it works well but I don’t think I will use it often. If I’m listening to music from my phone and someone calls it would be convenient to answer a quick call over the speaker and then get right back to the music when the call is done. I would never set out to place a call using this device if I weren’t already listening to music. Speakerphones annoy… Another great feature I am unable to try at this point but look forward to is connecting a 2nd speaker for true stereo sound. Two of these little guys can be synced so that one becomes the Left channel and one the Right channel. Not only would this provide better quality sound than one does already but I assume it would also be quite a bit louder (maybe twice as loud). I really have no complaints about this speaker and I look forward to picking up a second one on sale some day. It is very portable, sounds great, lasts a long time on a singe charge and it even looks good. Win!
