Really great sound quailty in a super small and portable package! Can pair with other speakers to boost sound aswell!

I was able to get an XB100 Sony Compact Bluetooth Speaker at the exact right time from the Tech Insider program! We took this little speaker on a family vacation so my kids could listen to something different in the back of the van than we did up front. First thing I noticed was that this speaker, for how small it is, was able to get very loud! I could hear it pretty well from the front seat of the 12 passenger van at freeway speeds. While the box claims to get 16 hours per charge we were getting maybe 8-10 hours but also had it up much louder than the paperwork included said (it says on 25 but there’s not really a gauge of what the volume is). Inside the box is the speaker with warranty info, quickstart guide, and instructions for use. Unlike some speakers I was pleased to find a nylon/fabric loop to hang the speaker if you want, although the loop is made of a plastic hook on one side and a stitched loop at the end of the other that slides over the hook. The lack of a full closure makes me hesitant to hang it from anything more than a foot or so but the fabric seems strong so it may be OK. On the speaker you have a power button with charge indicator light below, Bluetooth indicator/pair button, play/pause/answer phone button above a mic (yes, it lets you take hands free calls too), and finally the volume up and down buttons. There’s also a USB-C charge port under a connected rubber plug that sits flush when not charging. I love the size of the speaker and that it’s smallness doesn’t feel like I’m missing out on big sound, its clear and offers enough volume to hear in a noisy environment (obviously your milage may vary based on tastes and how refined your hearing/listening is). The ability to pick it up without looking and use the buttons based on raised icons is nice but not unique to this speaker (although the soda can size/shape makes it easier than most to keep a solid grip while finding the button on the side). If I really think about it the only thing I found disappointing was the hanging loop seeming a little sketchy for higher positioning (and looking at it I might be able to cut it off and modify a camping strap or something around the metal pin the strap wraps around). If you’re looking for a small speaker that doesn’t mind getting wet for camping, beach trips, road trips, etc. then I’d recommend this little round speaker. I didn’t drop test it or anything and as I’ve mentioned I can’t speak to how that strap will stay connected long term but if you’re even halfway careful this shouldn’t be an issue. Recommended highly!

Great sound! My family loves this speaker for music in the backyard or in the house. Definitely has a great sound. Would work great in dorm rooms and connects easy to Bluetooth. Small and compact make it easy to take with you.

My car's audio system is not working and I wanted to replace it with a simple Bluetooth speaker and oh boy!, I was surprised when I paired my new Sony-XB100. The music filled up my minivan with ample good quality sound. This portable Bluetooth speaker paired perfectly within 30 secs. There is a little latency while speaking but varies with different apps. The speaker's battery performance is excellent, in fact it ran longer than the advertised 16 hours. I liked the controls on the speaker. Small display lights shows when the device is Turned on/off. Also, the white paint on them helps to identify controls easily. The strap is a beautiful addition to hang the speaker anywhere. I like the sturdiness and smooth finish and glad to know it comes in various colors. To keep it simple, I love this product for it's Style, Portability, Build & Sound quality, Ease of use and most important, battery life and connectivity. I would recommend buying it anytime.

Good sound from such a small speaker. BT range is good too and battery life is excellent. This is actually my second one. The first one I keep in the garage when I'm working on my vehicles.

I purchased this to be able to listen to books on tape downloaded to my phone. It is easy to use and the sound was clear. The volume was adequate but limited. The charge cord provided allowed me to easily charge it in the car while driving which was important during my road trip. Since I was using a rental car, I did not want to directly connect my phone to the car. This device let me both listen to the books on tape as well as use it as a hands free speaker phone in the rental car.

The Sony XB100 Compact Bluetooth Speaker in Orange is a fantastic little device that packs a surprising punch! Despite its small size, the sound quality is incredible, with deep bass and clear highs that easily fill a room. The Extra Bass feature really enhances the listening experience, making it perfect for both casual listening and small gatherings.Pairing the speaker with my devices was a breeze, and the Bluetooth connection is strong and stable, even from a distance. The battery life is impressive, lasting several hours on a single charge, which is perfect for taking it on the go. I also love the color.

I am extremely happy with these Bluetooth speakers. First of all, I am a big fan of the Sony brand. The technology that they have now with their speakers means that I will have multiple ways to enjoy my music. I can now connect up to 100 speakers via Bluetooth. I already have two of the large speakers at home along with the boombox. I love this technology and the quality of the sound. I had no reservations when I bought these little speakers that they would sound good as well. They do they have a full sound and nice highs for a complete experience. I got two for right now while I’m away from home and while I’m sitting at my desk when they connect one says left and the other says right and then they say connected. I then can enjoy stereo sound while I work. The charging is really nice. You charge via USB and the charge holds for at least 3 days with heavy use. If I want to bring them with me, they have a strap that makes it convenient to hook it on just about anything. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Nice rich vented bass reflex sound for such a small package. Portable, long play time, quick re-charge. Pairing is simple. Buttons are very accessible and easily operated with water resistance covering.

Pairs with other devices without a hitch, the battery life blows my mind and the sound quality (for what you pay) is great.

If you're looking for a good sounding bluetooth speaker without spending a lot of money I highly recommend this one! I wasn't expecting this kind of sound quality from a speaker this small and inexpensive! Feels really well made in your hands too, and not cheap, or like it will fall apart easily. It's also the perfect size to fit in a cup holder! Which was really great for me, since I bought it as a quick fix when my car radio broke.

Compact and waterproof, this is an insanely great Bluetooth speaker. It has far more mid and bass than you would expect from such a small package. Battery life? I generally forget about charging it - it lasts a long time.

This small portable speaker is very mighty! We listened to a few in store and this was the best small inexpensive speaker. Battery life is great and connectivity is smooth. No complaints so far! I enjoy it a lot and it’s very loud with clear audio.

I recently purchased the Sony - XB100 Compact Bluetooth Speaker and have been extremely pleased with its performance. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, and the sound quality is superb, which is perfect for playing calming Disney piano tracks for my newborn. The compact size makes it easy to place the speaker anywhere in the house, it also has a strap that can be used to attach to a stroller. The audio output is robust enough to fill a room. Its long-lasting battery life is another feature that adds convenience, especially when you have a baby and can't be bothered to charge devices frequently. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 is that I wish it had a few more control options directly on the speaker. Otherwise, it's an excellent product that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality Bluetooth speaker.

Great sound for it's size and the placement of the speaker on top is a plus for these minis. It fits in most bottle holders and the adjustable strap is great for attaching to various items. Unlike its predecessor the XB13 (which I also own) the 100 can be turned off via the Sony MUSIC app though it lacks equalizer/sound adjustment like its larger cousins. Sony keeps improving ergonomics, sound quality and functionality with each new generation.

The sound is amazing! The color is perfect! My daughter took this with her to college for her dorm! Great size! GO VOLS!!

This is a really nice product. It paired nicely with my new Sony A95L 77" TV. With the BRAVIA Theater Quad attached to the TV via HDMI, the XB100 paired via Blue Tooth. The two provide output simultaneously so I can use the XB100 to listen in the kitchen, bathroom or elsewhere in the house while others watch and listen in the Family Room. Both the Theater Quad and XB100 show up when I use the volume control on the remote control. I can move control from one to the other by moving up or down on the small listing at the bottom of the TV screen. ...really nice display and control function... The sound output quality of the SB100 is really great for such a small and highly portable package.
