    Gotta be honest, I was a little taken aback (pleasantly) when I first opened the big box that came containing the Sony - XB100 Compact Bluetooth Speaker. I've got other compact/desktop speakers and- even after seeing the pictures- assumed the Sony would be of similar size. Next time- I'll read the specs more closely! The Sony - XB100 Compact Bluetooth Speaker is only a little larger in diameter than a soda can and not even as tall. That said, it provides sound that is equally as clear and room-filling with bass as deep as all but my sub-woofer-equipped (and much more expensive & larger) sound bar system. With great sound and excellent price nailed, the Sony - XB100 then just keeps going with features: - the strap allows it to stay secure wherever you need it - its IP67 rated water and dustproof rating means I'm not overly concerned with taking it wherever I happen to be going - up to 16 hour battery life means I don't need to worry too much about the music dying - ...but if it does get low, the USB-C charging port means the same cables I have laying all over to charge everything else will always be handy! - set up was about as simple as any connection I've ever made to my phone AND THE DEVICE CAN BE NAMED! (This a new must have feature for me; in a world where we're always surrounded by Bluetooth connections from others, having the ability to distinguish my devices with a specific name is clutch!) If you're looking for small, convenient, affordable & QUALITY sound in a party-ready package... look no further!

    Does NOT pair with Windows laptop

    The sound is fine -- if paired with my iPhone. However, the device does NOT pair with my Windows 11 laptop. Turns out this device is not designed to pair with a laptop. I have paired many other Bluetooth devices to my laptop, but this one is special and is not designed to do so. A complete waste of $60.

      Hi PatM, we're sorry if the sound quality did not meet your expectations. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. We do have ways to enhance or troubleshoot sound related concerns. Please try the following:

      Check that both the speaker and the connected device are turned on.

      Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.

      Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTH device may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the(power) indicator does not flash).

      When the volume of the speaker sounds low, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTH device to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with the –/+ (volume) buttons on the speaker.

      Check that the connected device is playing.

    Sound is very low and needs an app to even connect bluetooth. The only reason I haven’t returned it is because I don’t want to pay the 50% restocking fee per Best Buy’s. Policy.

    This speaker is horrible! It's not loud at all. It's definitely not made for a big radius of space. The sound doesn't go the distance for a individual to hear outside of the small region It's in. I'm returning mines. It's not even worth the sale price!

    Worst speaker in the United States I talk louder then the speaker complete waste of 60 bucks if I was broke I’d sue cause the took a orange and put holes in it. Horrible

Also, the the sound may become low in the following cases. When the built-in battery is running low and the charge indicator flashes slowly and when the ambient temperature of the speaker is high. Charge the built-in battery sufficiently and try again.

    I returned this speaker. It sounded great in store,… compared to my existing JBL clip the same song. Did not have the same quality sound and quieter.

    I going to probably end ul returning this and getting me a sonis or jbl bluetooth speaker. The sound aquality i think was not worth 60.00 andwoukd reccomend soending another $30.00 more for something with better sound and features.
