|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony XB20 Bluetooth Speaker (Red) with an Extra Bass function is a powerful and well engineered device. The volume is loud enough to fill an average sized room and the sound quality of whatever type of audio you are listening to is extremely clear and rich. To initiate the Bluetooth function, all I needed to do was to download the Sony SongPal app. The app creates the connection through simple procedural commands that I followed to eventually connect my Google Pixel and my ten year old Lg Tracfone. I can play audio from either phone, just by depressing their name on the screen in the app. The Sony XB20 Bluetooth Speaker (Red) also has a flashing light function that brings a nice difference to the experience. There is also a way to connect multiple Sony XB20 Bluetooth Speaker’s together to place them over a wide area, which is a dynamic way to have surround sound. Other great functions are the Speaker Phone which provides voice assistance and it has a waterproof exterior. I enjoy using my Sony XB20 Bluetooth Speaker (Red).

Must charge frequently

I am constantly hearing the speaker tell me to " recharge", when in fact it had been charging all day on my computer. I've only had it for a month and am already annoyed with it.

When using a USB AC adaptor (not supplied), make sure the USB AC adaptor has the ability to output in 500 mA or more. Charging from a USB AC adaptor which has the ability to output in less than 500 mA is not guaranteed.

Actually should have taken it back, but time slipped away. Actually think the sound from Alexa is better and of course is voice activated.

Not easy to connect as other portable speakers
