However, after a bit, it started randomly turning off. If I turned the volume up it would turn off. Now I have to try to connect it like 7x before it will actually connect.

The bass is good and the clarity of the highs is outstanding. It is solidly built and surprisingly heavy for it’s small footprint. I don’t think of this as a negative as you can take it outside and use it to hold down napkins at the picnic table! Billed as water-resistant, it’s nice to think about using it outdoors without worries. The lighting effects are underwhelming. LEDs provide three different settings: Chill, Rave, and Strobe, but all in one color. You need a separate app on your phone called SongPal to change them. I’m not sure it’s worth the effort. Easy to pair with my iPhone and works with Android too. Simple controls on top are straightforward to use. “Chaining” allows you to link more that one of these speakers together: two for stereo, three or more for full party coverage. Affordable, well-built, and long battery life! I’d give it 5 stars, but I took away one for the lighting effects -- superfluous and poorly implemented.
