This was a great buy for the price. I like the bass boost. Played it outside my deck and can hear it pretty far.

Great purchase, just wish it didn't try to have battery life at 20% but great! Sound is crystal clear!

Sounds great,the disco lights can be turned off,the only problem was that it wasn't loud enough at work.

It was a good purchase because it was what I was looking for, and I find it on sale. I love how it sounds. The only thing is that I am having problems with the Bluetooth connections. It only work with my iPad. it does not work with any cellphone. Other then that I really like it.

this little guy packs a punch. better than some of the larger speakers on the market.

Speaker sounds great even at max volume. Can do without the lights but it's easy to turn those off.

GOOD SOUND FOR A SMALL ROOM. GOT IT ON SALE, I COLD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THE LIGHTS.

After using this a few days I have the below opinions/info to pass on; I was a little surprised how small it is. But it is heavy. which I think speaks to having good speaker magnets. From a sound standpoint I would rate it above average. If bass is your thing, the Maga Bass is a nice option, but for me I found that it kind of muddled up the sound. There are buttons on the top of the speaker that you can use to control the attached device (such as moving forward/back thru your playlist), turning lights on/off, volume, but to do some functions you have to know the "combination" to use (multiple taps on certain buttons). I found this somewhat confusing initially and would suggest just using your device to scroll thru music, etc. You can download Sony’s app for added control. I did download it and as stated in other reviews I dont think the average person would use it much. It does let you change the light effects, which is nice to amaze and astound your friends and small children. Or if you have multiple speakers it may come in handy to synch them all up. It also has an EQ option but most music apps do as well, but I didnt play with it. I have an android LG4 which was easily synched using bluetooth. Once synched I just used my favorite local music app and it worked fine. I was able to control it from my phone from at least 50 feet away thru 3 walls, which was nice. Lets face it - the lighting is just cool, BUT it is nice to be able to turn it off so easily - everything in moderation. I have an 18 month old grandson and if he was writing this review it would be rated a 5 no question about it. He is amazed with the lights to state it midly. On the back there is a "port cover" under which you will find a USB attachment you can use to keep your device charged. An external input using I believe 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) jack - so you could use your old non-bluetooth devices - I used it with an old apple ipod and it worked fine. There is also the plug to charge the device as well as a reset button.. Overall I would definitely recommend this speaker. It is supposed to be water resistant, is portable, is very loud when both speaker and device are turned up full blast, is supposed to play 24 hours on a charge (I only tried 5 hours and it was still going strong) and last but certainly not least - there is the lighting!

The bass is rich, but the high is poor, all design overall is good looking.

Overall the build quality of the speaker seems to be top notch. I like the soft touch plastic that they use for the majority of the speaker. The speaker also has a decent weight to it however this large model would not be the best to carry around all the time as it is fairly hefty and larger than some other portable wireless speakers. For sound quality overall the sound was fairly good. The bass seems good especially when running the bass boost that comes as a feature of the speaker. However it does seem that some of the higher frequencies seem to be a little muddy at times, and this issue is made worse if you run the included bass boost. The software app that is included for controlling the color of the LED's and patterns that the LED's flash in is unfortunately not very polished. It is easy to navigate but seems to be lacking some basic color options like a solid single color without the speaker cones lit up in bright white. It would have been nice to have an option that does not pulse and has the options to shut this extra white light in the center off. The added DJ software is also more of a gimmick than anything actually useful. If you are sensitive to strobe light effects I would recommend staying away from the "Rave" setting for the lighting options. Overall though for a wireless speaker battery life seems to be good, connection quality is also good, and other than its slightly larger size it's not too bad to set poolside or on your kitchen counter while you do some house cleaning.

Is very clear and loud too, the only con would be that I can turn the lights off.
