The speaker is very loud I love the bass and lights

Amazing sound. The lights flashing to music is great. Love the idea of syncing speakers as I did that with my old sol republic. We used thus at an event and it was perfect. Loud enough even through a crowd

His thing is great, already want to buy a second to link them together. Great sound quality, Bluetooth is strong with it. Even sounds better than my fathers Bose soundlink. And the battery is amazing on this!

I have had many different portable bluetooth speakers in the past and all have problems with low frequency bass tones. Obviously this limited to the small size of most bluetooth speakers. The Sony XB40 has by far the most bass output of any speakers in this class and still retains very good mid range and highs.

Sony continues to never disappoint. I was pleased with how easy it was to set up and you can control the sound options and lighting variations from the phone app. Fills a 400 sq ft room, no problem. Great addition to a party when you turn on the synchronized strobes! One of a kind speaker. Get the 40 if you want to fill a larger space, I have the 30 as well and it is better suited for smaller rooms or you can pair them to project stereo sound or clone the same sound. I like that they made it easy to add more speakers to existing ones so you can build your system. Very durable and also looks good on the shelf. Great bass and range coverage. No static from bluetooth connection.

Unbelievable sound quality. Loud with more bass than you need! This is a heavy duty high quality speaker. I have 3 of them and they are all freaking awesome.

I BOUGHT THE SPEAKERS TO REPLACE MY SRS2 HARD TO PAIR TOGETHER.WHEN I GOT THE XB40S HOME THEY WERE EASY TO PAIR AND BLUE TOOTH.THE SOUND IS GREAT AND ALSO THE LIGHT SHOW IS GREAT TOO.

I’ve had to exchange this speaker twice, due to a speaker being blown with excessive full volume. Also, note that when you link more XB devices it automatically degrades the quality of the sound. But... I do love this speaker quality when it’s working properly. I’ve gotten compliments on the lighting response to the music as well. Which I don’t use much, but it’s nice for costal scenarios.

Easy to use , long lasting battery life. Very neat flashing colors dancing to the music. Rugged and bass as if it were a 10 inch woofer. Very nice treble.

Not sold in Amazon, only at Sony Store or Best Buy. The only difference between XB40 and XB30 is the size. Depends on what you are trying to do with the speaker but if you want to setup a wireless speaker environment at your living, buying 2 or more XB30 is better I believe. The reason for not 5 star is, the volume control is not going to let you control with minor changes, so if you want quit sound, you have to deal with a volume you can hardly hear, or quite a loud sound.

Bought this to use in an elementary gym. Loud enough for students to hear. Very pleased with sound quality at this price. Battery lasted a day and a half before I had to re-charge it.

I bought this speaker for $99 deal of the day ! Fantastic speaker . Excellent Bass & the highs are nice as well. I own JBL extreme & charge 3 , both which I thought couldn’t be beat but this Sony speaker for my ears is sounding better than JBL. Loving the sound quality . I am thinking of buying the real big speaker Sony makes like this one, if it ever goes on sale !! This will be excellent by the poolside at night with the lights flashing with sound of music . You have the option to turn off the lights , which is a nice feature . If you find it on sale for $150 or less buy it , you won’t be disappointed!

I have owned my fair share of speakers in the past. Many of which were Sony speakers. This speaker is by far the best Sony speaker I have ever tried. The sound quality is great with very Punchy face and a great Sound Stage. The LED equalizer effect when playing music is very satisfying as well. The speaker as a whole is very well built and does not shift position when playing music like some others. The feature set is great as well with NFC pairing and the ability to link up to 10 speakers together. Overall, I would recommend this speaker to anyone who is looking for a bass thumping, clear sounding experience. No issues with battery life as well.

Great sound for a small unit, I would recommend! Easy to use and transport. Pretty cool lights with the beat. Use when working out and at the beach. Great price for a good product!

Speaker sounds incredible, loud and long battery life. the lights are cool and the apps to get with it to "dj" and change the lights are fun. Only reason 4 stars is I CANT TURN THE LIGHTS OFF. I used the speaker camping and wanted to preserve battery and couldn't figure out how to get those lights off.

Needed a speaker in a pinch for a client presentation. Stopped at Best Buy and picked this one up. Really impressed- great sound, good bass. Bluetooth connectivity is super easy.

This is a good speaker to take to the lake, or a BBQ. Good clear sound and easy to connect to bluetooth.

Bought it for our son for Christmas and he loves it! Handles the bass without distorting and mids/highs are crisp and clear. Almost forgot, it's Extremely Loud!!!!
