For $40? These things are the best youll find
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite thing about these is that they honestly do stay in at the gym, even though theyre a bit large looking. AND THE BASSSSSS! I had no idea earbuds could put out this much bass, great for rap but instruments drown out vocals in some rock,so could be a bit louder. Long battery life too and very comfy. Definitley makes me want to check out other sony sound products. I give this 5 stars hands down.

Great headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these after losing my LG Tone Pro headphones. I really like the sound, I can listen to them 8-6 and still had some battery to spare. I'm not a fan of the dual function of the volume/track change button, but I don't use it enough to matter much. I was worried about size, but they fit in my ears great, the round inner ear piece does an excellent job holding them in. I do construction so sweating and leaning are constant, no issues.

Seriously Good Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a music guy, sound is very important to me. I have several wired, studio style headphones as well as a few different versions of Beats headphones/earbuds, wireless and wired. The problem is every set of Beats headphones I've owned malfunctioned one way or another. They are terribly made and I refused to buy another pair. Which lead me to these Sony extra bass earbuds. Needed wireless earbuds for workouts..went to Best Buy and saw these. I did some google research while in store and took a chance with these. I am beyond impressed!! Sound wise, they are great. I think the highs are a bit off but it's not crazy noticable. Slightly a bit bulky but fit in ear well. No falling out. Although there is no mic, I use them for phone calls as well. For the price and sound quality, this is a steal! I got the black ones for 50 bucks in store. Hope this helps someone out.

Great sound for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had these for 1 yr with no issues. Once I found the correct earbud size these stay securely in ears while running/exercising/work outs. Loud with great sound and bass. Was surprised on the long battery life between charges. Only negative would be the wire tends to stick you your neck at first.

Problematic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is good, especially the bass. I have not tested the mic. The fit is also really good. My ears cannot hold earbuds without hooks. However, I am concerned about durability. When I first opened the charging port with my nail, it left a dent because it is made with a soft material. Another problem is the headphones cannot be muted normally. I have tested these with an iPhone, an iPod, and a PC and they could not be muted on the phones at all. On the PC, they could only be muted with the mute button and not the volume down button. After doing a factory reset, I sent them to Sony and they replaced them, but the new ones are the same. My last problem with these is that the wire is not adjustable. When I run on the treadmill, the wire comes down on either the right or left side of my neck and causes discomfort and imbalance. This could have easily and cheaply been solved if Sony put a small adjustment piece on the wire.

Good for workouts and jogging!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used for workouts and walking/jogging several times a week. Good fit with the choice of earbuds, and glad to have those as using headset for workouts needs a little differerent fit than "normal" use with standard headphones - this is also helped by the earpiece to hold the earbud more securely in place. Really don't have any problems with these coming out once they are set up properly. No problems with battery life and recharging is quick and easy using standard USB mini-connector. It's nice to be able to use these more durable "workout" headphones without having to worry about breaking them, and still get those occasional incoming phone calls or messages when working out. I don't get into long phone conversations when exercising, but the short calls so far have good sound quality and the other end of the call says "sounds OK" to them as well. The sound quality is good, and definitely tilted towards the bass - which is OK for their intended use during workouts and other physical activity. Would use something else for "all day" casual listening to get away from the bass beats, but that's not what these are for. Sport headphones like these sound a little different anyway as they let in some outside noise, but that seems to be by design and actually is desireable when active and I need to hear a little bit of what is going on around when the aerobic coach is calling out the moves. For the price range, these seem to be a good choice, offering durability and good battery life with a good "bass boost" sound system to help keep the feet and body moving during workouts and activities. Only feature that would be nice, but is not included, would be built-in equalizer to maybe cut back on the bass during longer sessions, but that can be done (if needed) on the phone and really is not that big a deal. Overall it is nice to have a set of these "exercise" headphones separate from my "walking around" headphones to get the best of both types.

Great sound, but heavy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sound, base is strong, BUT had to select the correct earbud size. Product ships with medium earbuds attached, but that resulted in the ear piece hanging low in my ear canal and the base was washed out. Switched to the large earbud and no more dangling ear piece and the base is fantastic. I have small ears, so not sure why the large fits best. Also good is the cord doesn't have anything attached to get caught on collars. Easy to hang the cord in front tuck in my shirt, or on the back of my neck. Overall good product.

Best bt buds I've found, but not for road
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best bass, best ambient noise attenuation without paying $200 more for noise cancelling, you can really get nice volume (up or down) without distortion or tinniness. The only drawbacks are that they are not always easy to insert, they are pretty big so it will be obvious you are tuning out those around you and the amount of environmental noise abatement makes them not really safe for the road even if you keep the volume down. (They completely seal the ear canal). They are perfect for any use that doesn't require environmental awareness though, better than all the other bt ear buds I tried including the much more expensive Bose Sound Sport. One major deficiency is that there is no way of knowing what percent of battery is left, it just tells you once the battery is low, but for the price I can overlook that.

Buy these!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Jaybird x3’s and really thought I loved them. I ended up taking them back because I wasn’t happy with how easy the cord gets damaged when using the provided clips. I was skeptical since I didn’t think I could do better than the Jaybirds for the price range. I ended up getting these Sony’s and wow!!! I was immediately blown away by the bass and overall loudness of these earbuds. I don’t think you can get better if you are a bass lover like myself! If you don’t like bass, these won’t be for you. The only negative is they’re bulky and ugly. I enjoy the style of the Jaybirds more but the sound of these Sony’s can’t be beat for 50 dollars!

Good Sound in Bulky Design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having used other wireless Bluetooth headsets in the past, I was interested to see what Sony would offer in the wireless earphone department. The first thing I noticed was the size of the device that would sit in each ear. I am a runner so I need a wireless headphones that will fit snug in the ear and wont fall our (or continuously feel like they are falling out) as I run. This headset is larger than most other Bluetooth headsets and did feel more like they were falling out. I will say the sound is good and i am pleased with the Bluetooth performance. However, I am still waiting for smaller ear buds to come out where the full design fits more in the ear and provides a more snug fit. To clarify, I would recommend these for light workout duty (walking, biking, yard work, etc.). Just be mindful if there is a lot movement or bouncing, they are less secure in the ear.

Excellent!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a Christmas gift for a very picky man. Couldn’t resist giving them to him early since he is so picky about headphones and the sound but he was BLOWN away!! Sound is amazing, lightweight and easy to use. Wish they came with a clip of some sort because he easily looses things like this but I am the Christmas hero his year! Best part, I only paid 1/2 price after Black Friday! Shipping wasn’t very fast, took a full week and poor updates but other than that A+++
